I didn't get a x-copper or lawyer, not enough cash!!!! 300. Plus for a 122$ ticket!!??? and the best they could say was maybe 10% chance for reduction

ticket was 116 in 90kmh

But I swear I'm innocent!!!! I know I know, but for real!!!!!!!!!

tomorrow is way too late. You could definitely have put together a defence pretty easily, but now your best chance is if the cop does not show.

Google "fight your speeding tickets"

HaHa!..aren't we all?..Seriously though,I'll be ya a Coffee that the cop doesn't show. After all,he didn't get advance warning you were gonna fight the Ticket and He has "better Fish to Fry" than Big Bad You with a Big ol 122 Dollar Ticket.worse thing to come out of It,You bend over and Fork out the cash..Woopee.If You are Innocent, you should have told the Cop From the Get-Go.I'm not tryin to bust your ***** and I have no Idea what made him Write you a ticket, but Seeing he Did Give you one, there must of been Something in his Eyes that he saw, to make him write you one..That's what happens "nowadays" with sports car owners. We become "targets"..(just my opinion though..sorry)

just keep in mind don't admit that you did it on purpose, or else there really would be no chance. say something like you were going to change lanes to pass a car so you were speeding up, or you were just "going with the flow" of the other cars, or just google for better ways like he said ^. I don't know what situation or type of zone you were in.

I've heard that they get paid for showing up in court so theres a big chance that he'll be there, but it also depends what city you were caught in. for busier cities like scarborough then there might be quite a chance for them to not show up, or for cities like mississauga then you can almost bet 99% they'll show.

either way, you were just doing 26 over and thats 3 points, you might be able to get it lowered if you can make up a good reason; 116km/h is not too fast in the first place.
I know someone with a 96% chance to dismiss even careless tickets, and shes also got rid of a few diff ones for me too, so if you ever need someone then msg me.

good luck tomorrow

When you go to court, go early and tell the crown that you would like to plea bargin (guilty to a lesser charge). They'll probably knock it down to $50-60.

question though - you got a ticket for 116.....but how fast were you ACTUALLY going. I've only ever had 2.

1 ticket SAYS 90kmh in an 80......was actually going 105
1 ticket SAYS 65kmh in a 50......was actually going 70

Did you et a bit of a break off the get go? because most of the time they drop it a bit unless you're really screwing around.

haha, the prosecuters are usually pretty nice, i've talked to them before and had a 100 in a 70zone ticket. reduced to a faulty speedo ticket. same cash fine, but no demerits or anything on my record.

i still think i've got u all beat though. i've got 49days left in my 60day suspention for doing 192km/h in a 110zone. that just what i was caught at. not much else u can do when a 1ton truck is trying to run u off the road. i tryed fighting it but it's not much of a case when it's my word against the cops radar gun.

I'm surprised that you didn't go straight to jail (j/k), but can you tell me more about your case? and did you get a ticket fighter or lawyer?

Speeding tickets are really hard because there is physical evidence (radar or even worse, laser). I've never successfully won one of those, here in Québec, they changed the law so the cops don't even have to show up anymore so all hopes of getting a dismissal are virtually eliminated. The only way to get a dismissal is if for some reason the cop didn't fill out is speeding ticket report (which is what counts for is testimony).

You can try to put a doubt in the Court's eyes by saying you were surrounded by dense traffic and it wasn't possible for the cop to make sure he was poiting at you directly, or something like that, but it still usually goes against you. Even if a group of drivers are speeding and you're just following the flow, you chose to speed too, so you're responsible. In the eyes of the law, there's no such thing as 'being more dangerous going the speed limit than speeding up'.

anything over 50km/h over the limit it's up to the cops decision to come give u the ticket, and u just get a summons. or they call in ur car and they'll have a spike strip and cuffs waiting for u up the road, with the possiblity of also reciving a police evasion. <-- that ones a federal offence i belive with manditory jail time!

i think the cop came and got me b/c he knew i was already slowing down. after i couldn't see that truck i just coasted. i didn't see the cop behind me untill i was doing about 115-125km/h

i looked for a lawyer and everyone i called said they wanted nothing to do with it b/c the prosecuter for ponoke has a reputation for NEVER redusing the fine.
the maximum fine i could have got was 90day suspention and 2300$ fine. mine was redused to 60days and 1150$ apparently b/c my mom drove me up. the ponoke prosecuter said that if u have the support of ur parents in the eyes of the court it shows that ur a more decent and respectable person.

I had a ticket for $177 for doing 30 over in a 50km zone. i went early, negotiated it to 20 over (saving 50 bucks) and no demerits.

#2
rumours are true MONEY MAKING SYSTEM!!!!!
not a single person got off, everyone who plead not guilty was convicted!!! everyone
#3
the Judge takes the word of the police!!!
i noticed she didn't considered anything except the Scientific intruments such as radar!!!

My situation was simple
I was working driving a full size 2004 savanna. Who speeds behind a marked o.p.p with such an obvious vehicle!!!!????? I was innocent but had no proof as i didn't take the stand!!!
I got the officer to admit he didn't know what lane I was in!!!, that there was a large turn in the section he was to have got me speeding, also that he didn't recall when he got on the highway!!!
As well he said the traffic was light!!! and I ask him "isn;t that odd???? being that i was a friday in a very busy area!!!"
Him.," well is guess"
me "well u said earlier you have work this streatch of road for 12 yrs of your 26 yrs as a O.P.P officer??"
him" i guess it could have been a medium traffic that day i don't recall!?"

In the end I tried and didn't lose an extra 200$ to save 12-14$ for a x-copper or some other con.
