Why are you putting funds on your paypal account?

Just get your account verrified this way you can either send it from your bank account/credit card instantly

That way there's no waiting.

everyone can get a credit card, and if you go to the right booth, you'll likely get a frisbee too.

You can also do email money transfers right from your bank account to theirs.

LOL - PAY YOUR BILLS!

The main thing you need to do is get set up with internet banking - no matter what bank you have, you can do it. Then via Interac, you can just do email money transfers. It costs $1.50 each, and is instant. It is by far the best way.

Paypal is a great system, but it realistically caters to users with credit accounts. If you have no credit card (and can't get one) then do email transfers.

PC financial and CIBC usually give out CC's to people with no credit score. You should try them (both have the option to apply online)

I had a legal battle with Paypal a couple years ago. I won. In fact, a week later, it turned into a class action lawsuit against them. I guess a couple people seen the article in the paper and started to mob.

Paypal is a waste of time if they dont try and steal your money.

Anyone ever seen office space? That little virus they make to steal fractions of a penny? Well, paypal did that, only it wasnt fractions, it was whole pennies. Couple folks caught on, but nobody did nothing. And when it came my turn to be a victim, it amounted to Dollars. Big Dollars. I've never seen a $60 Item + Shipping cost over $1000 before. Plus all the NSF fees after repeatedly trying to debt my account over 8 times in one day for money that didnt exsist.

ALL my paypal transactions are done straight from/to my chequing account. No credit card used except as my "backup funding source". And I don't have to go through the process of transferring money into my paypal account THEN sending it, I just go to the "send money" link, put in the info and hit send.

It takes about two-three business days to actually dissapear from my account, but the other person gets it almost immediately.

Just get your account verified (they'll do a $0.01 deposit then a $0.01 withdrawl IIRC) and then you'll be set.

IMHO paypal rocks. I have probably put thousands of bucks through my paypal in the few years I've had it. I just bought an RB exhaust from a forum member and paid trochoid for a bunch of powdercoating a few days ago. And both my Sterlings were paid for through paypal... But yeah I just hit "send money", fill it out, then the confirmation email lets me know how much to pretend I don't have in my account until it dissapears in a few days. At which point I forget about it.

Jon

Edit: and I've never had any problems with them taking out the wrong amount or delivering the wrong amount. Their exchange rate to US dollar tends to be two or three cents in their favor though. When the dollar was worth 91c USD they were converting at 87.
