Anybody going to the show today or did go? I just got back from Florida with a nasty cold and wanted to know if it was still worth my efforts to get to the show.

You mean the Canadian NASCAR & Circle Track Expo?
I won't go next year unless they can promise something for... well... motorsports enthusiasts. In fact the only reason I went this year was for the AiM data seminar.
I think there were a grand total of maybe 6 touring cars? There were more "hotrods" there than race cars! What do hotrods have to do with a motorsports expo!?
CASC-OR wasn't represented well in my opinion, no Sigma TA, no CSCS, 3 CTCC cars, 2 CTSCC cars from Compass360 but no actual display or anything, one Porsche Cup car from Pfaff, and one Multimatic Mustang from 2 years ago.
People wonder why the Canadian motorsports industry sucks... the one annual show called the "Motorsports Expo" has less content for people within the motorsports industry than the effing Ertefa meets for eff sakes.

Ugh. I needed that rant.

 

I read between the lines when I looked at their website a week ago... sorry to hear that I was right. I'm going to the Canadian International AutoShow, where cars go to sit and be sat in.

I miss the tuner section, which used to be kind of interesting. On the plus side, I drive an FD now, which is even better than looking at other people's cars

 

Well ranted. We only went last year for the AIM seminar as we thought we'd be racing but alas. I'll send some of our shared thoughts along to Mr. Butt the organizer, and one time Mosport track announcer.
