I totally wish I could hit up this rx-7 meet!! Are they a one time a year thing? or do you guys meet up often? My car is good to go! but I need a f-in windsheild... just have to get an inspection and transfer my insurance over.... I am just itchin to take this thing out!!!!!

I've never paid more than $160 aught dollars for a windshield.

We usually meet up a few times a year. Usually twice in the summer, once in the fall and then occasionally we have a winter-beater meet to talk over coffee and discuss......well, rotaries of course.

Yeah, I got quotes for my Passat and the wife's Saturn last fall, both around $270 at the cheapest I found, and the rest were $50-$100 more. Happily my 7 has nearly perfect glass (knock on wood).

Looking forward to this afternoon. Hopefully the showers hold off. Every time I've taken the 7 out in the past few weeks (probably only a half dozen times), it's gotten rained on and muddy to boot. I was going to do secret streets last night - so I had to wash it again this morning :S

Pretty good showing, thanks to all that came. And Sean, thanks for trying to show up. Is this the second or third rotary you've blown?? Just 'cause I blew mine you had to copy me. At least I got a video before I popped mine this time. Sorry about the tough luck.

I counted three FBs, five FCs and three FDs for a total of 11. Goldenchild showed up even though his FD is currently in Vancouver being painted blue. (Bluechild?)

Considering how fast it is and to compliment the color change we should call him blueballs.

LOL! Funny! I was thinking of changing my handle but can't think of anything yet. I tried soo hard to get my FD back because I know there are only a few meets a year. Definately we should have another and if alll goes well I should have mine back by next weekend.

No problems though, at least I had a chane to get on my bike!

Good meet, if it wasn't for the risk of rain I would have stayed back.

Well, the damage is only 1 apex seal appears to be blown. Best part about it, is I didnt spend any money on it, So really, I didnt loose a dime.

So I celebrated by heading for the hills and going quading, getting drunk, etc.

Damn sorry to hear. You think a Turbo II hood would have helped?

My engine was at 64C and the AIT was at about 14C. It blew at 1100RPM and 0% Load. I was sitting at the first set of lights near my house. The alternator kicks in at 3800RPM and it wasnt even on.

But no matter, A friend just offered me an S4 TII engine for the same price I paid for the last one. Donno if Im going to take it or not, I think Im going to setup the car a little differently this time. First step is to take it apart and see if the irons are any good.
