of course, dont mind the honda comment aviator said, but no really... dont bring a riced out honda either!

notice to all: im changing from bbq dogs, to boiled dogs. sorry, lost the use of a bbq /w transport. turns out hes gonna be in phillipines. they still have fire pits there. but a big *** pot and a coleman will be the way i prepare them. i will still have everything, just a small change i thought i would post.

i also posted on rx8 boards about month ago and it looks like we will have at least 5 rx8's there. prolly the same boys from the cochrane meet.

Never fear.
I'll bring a propane camping BBQ that actually fits in an FD (along with the toolbox!)

I wasn't kidding--- if he brings a ricer-boy Honda we'll push it into the drink . (OK, maybe I was kidding a little bit. )

Somebody else is bound to have a barbecue available but unfortunately I'm not one of them. If Ed can make it to the meet that problem is solved. Let us know if there's anything else you'd like the rest of us to bring. (portable chairs, tables, food, bevs, etc.)

Excellent! (touches fingers together like Mr. Burns). We can never have too many rotaries.

that is a good idea... i have a 4'x4' table im bringin for the food, as for portable chairs... i have 4 portable ones. but maybe a good idea to ask people to bring thier own seats if they want, and any extra foods if hot dogs dont catch thier fancy.

pop i will bring:

1 flat of coke
1 flat of pepsi
1 flat of sprite
1 mixed sugarpack, the orange, cream soda, etc.
1 case diet coke

just in case someone wants something else...

im gonna go down today and scope for the best spot. ill do my best to semi block the area, until i get in **** that is..

good, another rotorite in the makin, if you get one... make sure your willing to through money at it monthly, for more than gas and insurance...

i was driving my car last night and seen 3 fc's and 1 fb's, that was nice.. i thought i was the only crazy one for a while!

oh.. i forgot.. i found the perfect spot at glemore park, its not by the fire pits, but... [PARKING LOT 3] has 2 entrances, which will be easier to ask people to park accross the street. im gonna take some signs from work and make rx7club.com meet ones out of them, so people can 'get the hint'. if anyone goes for a cruise, go down there and check it out, tell me what you think.

I dont think my RX-7 is going to make it due to financial difficulties. That and the fact that it doesnt seem to want to run. Im going to try a few things to get it to go and maybe when the time comes, I'll insure it for the day. Other than that, I'll probably be driving my new car if I get it. It wont be rotary powered.......yet.

I got a message a few days ago saying I had a pm from you but when I checked for it the box came up empty. It may have been in response to one I sent you. Did you confirm that the timing marks on the CAS drive gear and the CAS shaft are lined up before inserting into the engine? Also, what about the ECU connection inside the car? did you unplug it and possibly not get it plugged back in all the way? It would be a shame if you couldn't make it to the meet with this car.

Im planning a carburetor conversion and exhaust replacement. I should be done in time for the meet. I can better problem solve with the carbureted setup as its already calibrated to work properly. My replacement exhaust is simply factory replacement equipment. RB is too expensive right now.

LOL. I already thought of that last year. The photos of the sign with the cars in the background would have been priceless, and it's less than 5 minutes from where I live.

Unfortunately the parking lot near the sign is the size of a postage stamp and has only one (very narrow) entrance/ exit.

Car Update:

Fixed my exhaust. Still Leaks around header a little.

Converted to Carburetor setup. Installed. Has a fuel pump issue (Obviously) and the throttle cable isnt long enough to fit on the holley. Alls I need to do is adress those 2 issues. Distributor and coils are installed and ready to go. Will be done in time for meet since I fixed the exhaust.

Im driving mine right now. Needs a bit of fiddling to get it to hit the sweet spot, but its all good. Too bad its not as fast as in my blue car. The FC just weighs so much.
