Buying RHD cars.

I'm trying to find some good websites that sell JDM imported cars or sites that preorder cars that will be legal to be imported over. Anybody have experiance with any of the companies, have any kind of special fee's I should know about?

Talk to Terrh, he just bought a JDM car. I know hteres quite a bit of tax involved, and if you plan on driving the car home, it will need a safety. I know Terrh had a few issues with his car after he bought it, so i'd recommend a lengthy test drive if you can.

Here is a couple of websites to check out. It all depends on if you want to import the car yourself, or pay a company to broker everything for you. There really isn't that many taxes to deal with, but it also all depends on which route you take on importing your car. If you want to ask me any questions on it, I'm far from a expert, but did import my car myself so I do know some info on it, just send me a pm.

www.importconcern.ca
www.redlineimports.ca
www.terra2imports.ca

The above sites are well known companies that can import the car for you. All of there prices usually include all costs that are involved with having the car landed and cleared through customs in canada. The ones below are sites for you to check out if you want to import the car yourself. If you see a FOB price that means you need to include shipping+/- $1,000 CAD, + duty, + around $500 for misc fees that you will incure. So as a rule of thumb it's usually around $2500 CAD on top of the FOB price to cover all costs associated with having the car landed. But you will still need a oop inspection.

I'll import for you man, send me a PM.

I'll show you some of my recent sales, and why you should buy through me, and not get ripped off.

whoa whoa whoa, I'm not ready to buy yet. It'll be sometime next year, right now it is the research stage finding the best dealer/people to talk and steps needed to get it purchased.

I'm from the states, so I'll be trailering the car back home.

I haven't really completely settled down on the idea of which car I want to get yet.

My list is open to
Toyota Chaser
R32-R33(might be ready to import over when I'm ready to dive in)
Older Evo
Of if I see an FD that's the right price I wont' pass that up either.

I pretty much know my max value I want to spend, Under 14K USD.

Has anybody driven a Suzuki Cappuchino? Those things look sweet, but I can't see the price justify purchasing one for such a little power gainer

I'm with 84stock on this one as usual.
hopefully if u are looking to import an fd u are not some highschool kid who has been saving his cash from the part time job at burger king and u can actually afford to import one that is in prime condition and keep it that way.

Mom isnt gonna like lending u 6gs to rebuilt a car that only cost u 8gs

ok this is really bugging me... everyone thinks that importing is so expensive and iffy but when you talk to people on forums they recomend people that already have cars here and all they need is the oop. why not get what you want right from a dealer in japan that can go to an auction house and find exactly what your looking for go over the car completly and tell you whats wrong and still ask you if you want it. www.feastautoexport.com is where i've gotten both mine as a few of my friends and deals are good . 5k for the cars plus about another 3 for shipping and fees, when you look at the companies that already have cars here they genrally jack up the price another 4k on top of that for thier time dealing with customs when it would take minimal effort on your part to do it yourself. another thing is shipping is realitivly fast like 2 months to 3 weeks. enough time to save some more cash for planned repairs and upgrades if you want them. then hell fly to vancouver with an in-transit and drive it back to whereever after changing fluids and giving it a quick once over. not sure if this helps but needs to be said.
