Hi folks,

It's been awhile since I was last on this forum (like 6 years ago), but I just wanted to take the opportunity to invite you all to come to Mosport with us (the Mazda obsessed) on May 10th.

Information on this event is below:

BEMC and Scarboro Mazda have generously offered us the chance to have a "parade" lapping session at Mosport. We’re currently still working out all the details as to how this will work (exact time frames and what not), but this thread will be updated as information becomes available.

As it stands right now we’ll most likely have a few activities planned during the day such as a show and shine, Q&A’s, and a BBQ could be in order as well. If you have any idea's as to what you'd like to do, please let me know.

This event will be open to all Mazda owners, and I will extend the invitation to some of the other clubs: Mazda 6, Protege, etc. So far it's only been posted in the rx8club and we already have about 20 people confirmed to go! If we can get everyone out for this it should be a great day!

In any case, if you're interested in attending, please let me know in this thread. Hope to see you all there!


Current Schedule:
6:30am - Initial Meeting at Scarboro Mazda (Bring your own Timmies)
7:00am - We will leave Scarboro Mazda at 7am so we can get to Mosport by 8am
8:15am - Setup the parking situation so we're all grouped together (on going)
8:30am - Signup for those who are looking to go onto the track*
9:00am - TBD

* NOTE: In order to participate in the lapping session you MUST be over 18 and follow all the rules indicated (including: no passing, no wreakless driving, etc). In addition this is a first come first serve situation. In past years a number of people stated that they would come, but failed to show up. As a result there will be NO reservations for the lapping session.

Anyways... in addition to the 20 guys from the 8club, we have roughly another 20 from the 6club. We need some rx7 reps! Neo stated that he was gonna try to make in on the 8club so I'll add him here

Haha.. Should have known. Well.. for whatever reason Al's ask me to organize this event now (he's too busy (or lazy))? Thanks for bringing that tread to my attention though. I was going to go through it and add people to the list but I think it might be better just to have everyone confirm in this thread again to give a more accurate count.

Hey Ka Kui,

You pretty much have it. This was going to be a bit more structured, but at this point there's just too many variables... so we're just going to go with the flow. As mentioned in the rx8club post, the only set times for anything is going to be registration at the track for the lapping (8:30am) and if you want to cruise up with the rest of us from Scarb Mazda (we're leaving at 7am from there). Techincally even the lapping time is variable as it's dependant on the races and how long they take to finish, though it's bound to be around lunch time.

Other then that we'll be doing the show and shine, photo op, BBQ whenever we feel like it through out the day and generally just hang out and chill.

Oh.. one more thing.. if any of you guys are interested in bringing a BBQ or coolers or anything of the sort.. lemme know (I know at least one person here that offer up a BBQ here).
