It can't be that hard just a pain in the ***, working under the dash sucks area suck, but i'm pretty sure it has to removed.

If you need the full conversion I have one fs.

you can do a splice in for the rev. lights and autolock two wires and your done.. no need to fool around in/under the dash..

the only thing you need to decide on is if your going to graft in the 5spd tranny mount of make a custom one that extends to the auto mounts.. I did the latter, allowed me some freedom to dampen the tranny how I wanted. If you use the latter method you need to be sensitive as to where you run the speedo cable... as long you have a parts car then your laughing..

Wouldn't that make it EXTREMELY hard to select gears? Maybe I'm a little slow but the pedal set does go under the dash right?

Yeah I figured that out, but saying there is no fooling around under the dash isn't true.

No need to turn this into one of those threads again.

Like doridori said, you need to fabricate a trans mount. The floor pan in the auto cars is different. The pedal assembly can be changed while the dash is still in the car.

It'll be really easy since you have a parts car. Just be careful when your installing the 5spd flywheel onto the auto motor...and dont forget to put a pilot bearing in the end of the e-shaft!

I'd recommend a performance clutch and pressure plate. The stock pieces on NA cars at least are weak.

90% sure that there is a topic in the 2nd Gen Archives that covers it in detail.
