I was thinking of the weight to, but in removing the old stuff(removing weight), and adding the dynamat carefully as Aaron suggests, it might not add to much at all.

I'm not sure of the exact year of the wheels, but my car is an 84, and they're the same wheels as the ones that came with the car, which were stolen. I got the wheels off Sam who got them from someone else, sans centre caps. Page 6 on my cardomain in my sig will show you the wheels.

Thanks
Chris

I removed the underbody tar, but left the interior tar there. Removal of the interior stuff would have been a pain and probably would have been more of a disadvantage. But if you remove the interior tar your Dynamat additions may end up adding a negligible amount of weight.

I'll check my GSL-SE to make sure it has all the caps. It's an '84. They won't be in perfect condition.

The MP3 player finally died about a year and a half ago. It previously had been hit by a falling monitor while operating so the drive acquired a few hundred thousand bad sectors. After running for another year in that condition, the hard drive crashed. After seeing there are so many aftermarket head units that can play MP3s directly from USB devices I decided to go that route instead of fixing the MP3 player.

Nice Aaron, It looks your Interior Is going as planned.
I'm really liking the Dynamat and your difference It's made to the car. Whats the cost of this?
I see an upcoming project on the way.

I purchased mine from the local shop, Jim's Speed. I can't recall exactly how much they cost but it was somewhere around $65-$75.

I know they carry it at Future Shop. Probably overpriced though. Most stereo shops can probably order it, or you can get it from Summit Racing.

Hey Aaron,

Thanks for posting the new info, especially the dynamat install. I've been considering it myself and you've helped me to decide to go with it, a little more sparingly in my vert.

I don't know if this has been asked or not, but I remember last year you installed a generic type presilencer. I was curious how it's holding up and if it still gives you the results you were hoping for? Would you say it keeps droning down on the highway?

I've have no issues with the resonator. It's hard to say that it's working exactly as well as a year ago since the car in general is far more quiet inside due to the Dynomat and new door seals. But I can't detect increase in noise that would be due to the resonator failing. It's stainless packed so I expect it to last a while. The glass packed units last a few hours or days.

Since that picture was taken, I've reinstalled the 8-ball. Now to just drill out the "8" and make it into a button...

Congrats Aaron! You always describe your work as if it was easy and effortless. But, the quality of your work speaks for itself. I just know you spent countless hours and sweat who knows how many times your weight equivalent before it was all said and done, yet we never hear a complaint from you. It seems secondary and that demonstrates just how passionate you are for Tina.

I really hope I'll get to see her in person next year maybe at the Ottawa meet or any other occasion.

I hope you don't miss the rotary perfume too much, though
