Archangel : Dyno Results
I'm pretty disapointed with the outcome but happy that i tuned it myself on the dyno with toma's help....
220rwhp @ 5800rpm
192lbtq @ 5900rpm
On a Mustang Dyno, so i guess the equivalent on a Dynojet would be;
253rwhp @ 5800rpm
220lbtq @ 5900rpm
What do you guys think of my AF ratio's?...
They are a steady 11.5:1 with a spike of 12.0:1....
should be ok?...
Untuned it WOULD NOT revv past 6000rpm, then we lowered the AFratio and lowered the gain and it cleared up pretty well....
I'm not overly happy with the results, but keeping in mind i was only boosting 9psi, it's not all that bad....
I guess if anything, with Toma's help ofcourse, i'm glad i could tune the car ( FCON's GCC ) all by myself, from the baseline run i gained 30hp and approx 40lbtq.... Mind you the baseline was a very ridgid line, where in the end ( above ) was pretty smooth....

Your torque curve is nice. Something to be proud of.
What kind of power is the BNR3 'supposed' to make that would make you unhappy?
Also, I'm a bit confused about your peak power being earlier than peak torque. Normally it is torque that would drop off first. I wonder if that is some sort of flow issue with the hybrid?
Still, nice job tuning yourself

thats on the stock turbo at 9psi, i dont think i told any of you....
I WANT a bigger turbo....
it only boosts 9psi when i'm winding 3rd out, but creeps 2more PSI in 4th, i dont know why but i dont want to risk my motor....
the first graph looked terrible, but i got it to look like that, peak torque and hp come in at almost the same time....

Knowing what it's in the car would be nice as well as I have no clue if I should be impressed with your numbers or wondering how a potentially good setup went so wrong.

I'm on a stock turbo aswell, thats dieing....

Agreed. I dynoed my 944 Turbo on both a Mustang and Dynojet with a similar set up and made almost identical power. I read somewhere that the dyno differences are not as signifigant on a turbo car due to the fact that a Mustang dyno puts a load on the car which helps with spool. On the Mustang Dyno I was running smaller injectors and different chips than I was running on the Dynojet. Both times I put down 270 rwhp. This winter I upgraded to a bigger turbo, bigger injectors, new chips and the car felt stronger. I went to the Dynojet again and it made 303 rwhp. Now if it was true that the Mustang reads 15% less you would believe that my 270 rwhp pull should net 310 on the Dynojet. If that were true then you would have to believe that my very first dyno pull with the small turbo and smaller injectors made the same power at the same boost level as my new big turbo and bigger injectors? Not likely. It more likely that there isn't as big a difference as is made out to be. Just out of curiousity has anyone dynoed at a Mustang and the same day drove over and dynoed at a Dynojet? I'm thinking of doing it just for ***** and giggles......
