I'll post pictures as soon as I can figure out how to shrink the file size.

I just got back today. Blew a rear tire in the middle of nowhere Ohio just to make things interesting on the way home.
I had a great time in the mountains though!!!

Last year there was a tornado the days before.
And this year, you come home to snow.
What was the weather like in Tennessee?

It was snowing in the mountains on Monday btw. I would have taken a pic but I was too busy keeping my car on the road!

Nice pics!

My son loves his new scale model RX8. He keeps telling me he's tuning it. lol.

It's too bad they can't hold this event a little later in the year. The weather is so unpredictable at this time.

I broke 2 lugs on the way up (I got it fixed immediately and was back on the road in 1hr), and blew a tire on the way back.
I shared the road with rotary cars most of the time, Sunday with 2 very quick VW r32's.

Me too. Lost my brakes, pissed all my brake fluid out coming off the dragon going to Fontana dam and lost two wheel nuts on the drive home. RXeckless tensioner pulley had to be stripped down. IAN lost his power steering. Mrcool hot start issues something plugged up.thewird two vac leaks. Buggy zero problems and walks away with another trophy two years in a row.

Awesome update there. So pissing fluid, stripping and loose nuts...what a party!!! And no women??
You make it sound like minor setbacks. I guess they are all minor, just not every day ocurrances.
I guess the Dragon worked you all pretty hard. Or is it the road trip getting there and back that is most grueling?

I also sandblasted very expensive carbon fibre parts not to mention dragging it across surprisingly sandpaperish razor sharp rocks and low spots All our small repairs just makes the trip more interesting and is part of a road trip so far. I think I did over 5000km. Just finished watching the Three wise man road trip on top gear and this is what it is all about

Anyhow I have to say this year was yet another fantastic year regardless of the two inches of snow on my car in southern Virginia. It was a rush driving or should I say chasing RXeckless on the blue ridge parkway in the rain. Luckily we didn't eat the deer or the countless wild turkeys (Didn't realize they get that big!) It was also surprisingly eerie on the way down on the park ridge driving in the fog. This is my sixth year going and I still love it. Thanks to my passenger Hybridg for helping with the fuel costs. Sharing expenses makes it affordable and shooting the $hit and laughing always makes the longer parts of the drive interesting.

Thanks to classicauto for the power steering pump on the way back.

Thanks to Mrcool's friend (I don't think he is in this forum) for cooking and the rest of the gang for keeping the cabin clean on our why out.

There is talk of Sevenstock. Back in the day Classicauto and I discussed the possibilities of hiring a transport truck to ship our cars down to seven stock to attend the event and also to do a cruise in california. This of course needs to be planned and costs calculated. REgardless if this happens or not RXeckless and I talked about having a smaller similar meet too DGRR but in the Calabogie area and discussions with Buggy on a similar type event with the Bruce County meet.

^ Had a great time as well, except for the 30 or so paint chips and all 4 wheel well edges striped to the primer. Order a full set of mud guards to cover the striped edges, new idler pulley and hopefully a new lip. Also looking at a hood this weekend and in the next month she should be back to her old self and I'm down another grand on top of the trip, the bitch just keeps taking!

I had TPS sensor issues! I didn't get away without some frustrations from my car. It hesitated all the way home from the blue ridge parkway. It was a great trip all in all though. Thanks to everyone that made the trip with us. It wouldn't be the same without you guys!
