Anyone Bought a Rebuilt From the US?

Hello,

I just bought a 7 for cheap that the previous owner who said it needed an engine. I managed to drive it home, but felt very much like it was only running on one rotor (first 7 I bought had a blown apex on the rear rotor). After pulling out the trusty compression tester, the front was showing a decent 95 psi on all three sides. The back however, managed 35 psi on one of the three. Anyway, this is what I expected and am now trying to decide where to get a rebuilt from.

For the first 7 I had 5 years ago that I built with my dad (first car), we got an engine from Adam in Calgary and it was a great motor - pulled nice and strong. However, I hear that he is very busy and would like to get this done before the summer.

Has anyone bought a rebuilt engine from the states before? I was looking at a place http://www.rotarywarehouse.com and they seemed pretty reasonable.

I am on a budget from the wife so I am looking at about $2500 CAD to have the engine to my house. I was hoping I might be able to sneak a street port in there, but am not sure if that would be feasible. If you guys know of any good places in the states that I could have one shipped in for about that, that would be helpful.

Also, does anyone know if you pay duty on Engines from the States or just the GST/PST (SK)?

Any input is appreciated...here are some pics of the car anyway:

Repainted three years ago (although a bit of surface rust) and reupholstered two years ago. Previous owner was a 55 year-old Irishman who bought the car when it was a year old (it's an 86):

Thanks Jim. I would have liked to ideally find someone in Canada but a couple of hours of searching on the net and forum and I was having trouble finding other builders in Canada. Good to know there are some.

Yeah there is definatly enough builders in Canada for you to choose from, me being one of them
But right now I have 10 engines on the go and have no time to take on more at least for the next couple months. You'd almost think people leave thier projects go until the nice weather hits, then all of a sudden "Oh crap, I need my engine built" hahaha

Anyways, if I were to recommend anyone it'd be Jim if hes not too busy.
