inquired at my local crappy tire automotive section, they sent me to the paint section where they didnt have a clue what i was taking about. Its starting to get pretty bad. Can someone tell me where i find this stuff?
Also, if you feel it doesnt work all that well, let me know what else does.

I got some at an autobody supply place. Also, they have specific NAPA stores that are for autobody, rather than parts. The quality 3M brand stuff isn't cheap though. Seems to me it was around $20 for a small roll. I think you might be able to get some at a window tint place that sells the wind deflectors that stick to your side windows. They are held on by the 3M tape too.

My trim was kind of dried out and rigid, and I had to put two layers of 3M tape on the recommendation of the store. Also heat up the moulding with a hair dryer as well as the surface of the car. Push the trim on (you get one shot at it), and put big pieces of masking tape at right angles across it. Leave the tape for at least a day or two.

You can cheat, and just stick it on and walk away. I would rather do a job only once, so I took all the store's advice, and it worked well.

crappy tire has it. it's a small roll of tape. it look green because of the backing.

Any autobody shop. That tape kicks ***, but it is not cheap. The large role I have cost over $40.

Be sure to ABSOLUTELY CLEAN the surfaces first. I use alcohol, but be aware that can effect some clear coats. The tape won't grip in cold weather, so make sure parts are warm when you apply. Also, it won't really bite until it sits overnight, then it never comes off.

I use the stuff to make battery packs, sticking 20 LB batteries together and it holds easily.

mine is "coming off" at one end on one side. maybe a half foot or so. Should i just stick the tape in there or rip the whole strip off and stick it back on (really dont want to do that!)

If you want to do a good job, go through the trouble of taking it off. Most of the pieces are pretty short except the one on the door.

I must admit, I have gotten away with sneaking some new stuff without removing the entire piece, but its almost impossible to get all the old stuff off and get a good clean surface.

As Aaron said, its gotta be clean, and as we both said, its gotta be warm.

The 3M stuff is night and day compared to anything else I've used. Canadian tire, Napa, other, epoxy (I tried that too), none of it works well. I had a really drawn out experience with this stuff, don't mess around, get the 3M stuff. Actually it is nearly a year ago to the day that I applied the trim with 3M tape from Aaron. It was in a parking lot @ Revolution, where Aaron is right now. I put zero effort into prep (not recommended) and it still worked better than anything else with extended prep!

I bought some recently @ Sherwin Williams.
