93 RX-7 for sale Ontario Canada

I have a chance to get a perfect condition rx-7 bran new paint and lots of engine work done but the car is apart right now. As far as I know all the car needs is the Turbos and intercooler to get it running. But the engine is out of the car and the dash has to be put back together. This car has never been winter driven since its from the USA. The engine has been rebuilt to hold 800hp and there is a bran new fuel system for the car that has not yet been installed. What I would like to know from everyone is how much would this car be worth $ with the condition its in now. And dose anyone think it would be a easy sell if I was to bring it to Ontario Canada and put the car back together to sell and how much would it be worth hear in Ontario?

Any advice would be helpful thanks a lot.

Hmmm thats a tough one, so the body is perfect more or less

1/ does it need any rewiring ? (dash out = usally means they have been re wiring or adding a B/C or electronics of some sort
$200- 500 maybe

2/ so it has NO turbo or I/C at the moment, a new set up (to support the 800hp) would be in the 3K ball park
$3000

3/ you need to get the motor back in and fuel system up and running and then tuned properly with 800 pony's its a must
$800- 1500

4/ you will have to get it towed or trained or fixed down there and then get it back up to Canada... not sure where it is in the states ..but will be some dollars to get back here

so at a max you will have to sink 5K into it plus the shipping and the original car cost, with all that to consider I (in your shoes) would not pay more than $7-8K CAD. it does sound like a very good project car if the workmanship is quality

personally I would find a nice moded running FD in Japan and bring it in... its cheaper and you get lots of expensive Jap parts on them

my .02 cents .... cheers

So your thinking of buying this car

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAZDA...QQcmdZViewItem

finishing if off, then selling it?..

Look elsewhere, its not worth it..

When you get it done show us some 800hp+ dyno runs.

Well I was not to concerned about the 800hp I just wanted it running like stock and then if someone wants to put the money into tuning it better then that’s up to them I just want to get it on the rode for as cheap as possible and then sell it to make some money since it looks like most 93 and up rx-7s running sell for around 19,000$ to 23,000$ for one in good shape I figured if I can get the car into Canada for around 8000$ and then put 2000$- 3000$ into it. Then I can get a good return on it. Me doing the work is no problem I have done all the same work on my 90 mazda miata but I just can’t afford to drop allot of money into it. If it was just running like stock would it be worth 20,000$ hear in Ontario?

If it was 100% stock, then yes it would be worth that money. But once potential owners began looking into the cars history, which they more then likely would do before spending $20k on a 13 year old car, they would find out that it was imported from the US and then eventually find out that you pieced it back together. At that point, they would laugh at your price of $20,000+. No matter how well you think you know cars, you wouldn't be able to do as good of a job as Mazda did when the car was initially built. You'd be lucky to break even after the sale of the car.
