87 tii - 28k (gta)

Just out of curiosity has anyone been to check out this TII in the GTA area:

http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ375811059

I think it has been advertised for a while now and would have thought someone would have snapped it up by now unless there is something wrong with it. . .

If it was an S5 I probably would have picked it up by now.

A car like that will primarily appeal to rx-7 / mazda enthusiasts. Even someone like me would still not pay that asking price for a car such as this. not to say it's not worth it, but 15 grand for a second gen for me won't happen.

Very clean car though. the buyer will be sure to enjoy it.

take a look at this one:

A lot more kms on the odo, but still a good buy. An S5 too. If I had the money and was a few years older I would buy that.

Theyre asking too much, 2nd gens are worthless. Even one with that mileage, they'll never sell it. Id pay like 6-7 grand for it and thats really about it.

Just seems too steep.

You could get a nice LHD FD with low-ish mileage for that.

$4500-$5000 I'd buy it. But that's my personal opinion.

It is definitely too expensive but just the idea of picking up a 25 years old car in almost new condition is very tempting. I can't understand how someone can buy a car like this and never drive it. It's like burning money. The 87 will never be considered a classic like the 3rd gens but having one of each could be an option

It is an extremely clean car and worth a good penny. Maybe not as much as the asking price, but it is worth a lot. The only problem is what do you do with a car like that? Driving it would completely ruin it, so you've basically bought a trailer/garage queen that will only see the light of day once a year for a car show.... maybe... That and once you do start driving a car like that, things start going wrong pretty quick. Ask me how I know.

I could've sworn I saw this on my street a couple of days ago.... Seeing that hes like 5 min away from me, it could be possible... It is truly a car that does not deserve to be drive, but stared at for the rest of its life

theres no way he'll get anywhere near what he's asking....i'd say 8k considering condition but even at that its not easy to sell...people looking for an fc rarely get it to keep it stock from what i've seen....

The only reason why I would not pay that price is that I don't care about kms. I have seen very clean FCs with 180,000kms+. That and knowing having sub 50,000kms on my car really means dickall when I'd be more interested in driving it than looking at it (though that was satisfying for me as well).

The last FC I had, I nearly put 10,000km in 1 month.

That car would be parked in my driveway for that price. But then again, $15,000 for a very low mileage collectors item doesn't seem like alot to me. Considering people around here will go spend $100,000 on some miled out old muscle car because it says HEMI on the side.

But then again, its all in what your looking for, how much you got to spend, and what you pay for it in the end.

Wow, you must have put $15,000 in gas in it to rack up those miles - no wonder you wouldn't spend it on the car in the first place, you need it for gas!

I have personally seen this car. You can eat off every inch of it. It is soooo damn clean. A buddy used to service this car but she is getting rid of it. Had a the inputshaft and bearing replaced and clutch.

Pretty much. $15k no, something closer to $10k and the right buyer may bite.

I'd say that car is worth $9-10k sure.

At that price it's got 27 times the miles it should have.
