2007 Mazda in the Mountains

Hey everyone! I just wanted to tentatively place a date for this event so that we are all on the same page again this year. Last year worked out well, so perhaps we can have it at the same location in Bow Valley.

When: August 25th, 2007
Pre-meet: Canada Olympic Park Parking lot (Calgary, Alberta) 12:30pm
Departure: 1:15pm
Arrival at Bow Valley: approx. 2:15pm

Everyone might want to bring some food for themselves and their groups and have a little bite to eat out on the grass next to the lake.

sigh, my car was on the other side of the lot for that picture. I'll be there again, I've already got the day off but it can be changed if need be. I've gotta lot of work to do so bag on my car for the day, 1200km down 2800km left to go on the break-in. if the weather stay this warm, i'm gunna bring my swim trunks aswell.

when it's broken , i got some new plates and was very conservative with the porting, more of a polish then anything, so hopefully i won't be dropping anymore side seals. funny story, 400km on the rebuild i was driving up sarcee trail and the motor cut out, naturally i started freaking out and had a shitty day, lucky for me those it was jsut a stuck injector and flooded the rear rotor. *close call*
anyhow i've got 1600km on the rebuild now and i'm still waiting on that new injector. I figure i'm in good shape this time around.

Hopefully I will be able to make it out this year. Tim told me nothing but good things about the trip last year. Except for hes making a pretty funny face in that pic.

Don't pretend it was your first time. I saw you on Facebook

Syritis? Who ported the motor that dropped a side seal? You should be able to do FAR more than a polish without fear of dropping side seals.

As always I'll be there if I'm free.

The one rotor wonder. Your running boards are probably beat to crap from jack-stands.

If Gary looses the hairdryer, he'd have a chance.

If not the Fd were you going to bring out the magnum? I checked your facebooks looking for pics of it and you don't have any on there. I still have no idea what it looks like.

Nice nice. For some reason I thought it was black. Those rims look good on there.

To be exact, its that black beasts old motor (or at least a comparable one - story of its origin changes daily).

Still has the Hairdryer tho. But it should be an improvement of somekind I imagine.

I get the joy of installing it tomorrow morning.

Hahaha, ya I'm very familiar with the orgins

Are you still going to use a carb? Should be interesting with one. There would be some very apealing things about efi now though, and some hp's to be picked up to.
