To my knowledge, he picked up this insane carburetor for an unbeatable deal.

I was thinking of asking gary's builder to help me do an EFI setup next year sometime. I've kinda swung back into Rx-7 land again and would like to earn some more knowledge on the turbocharged side of things.

This is how we ended up with the Camden bashers last time around. Shhh, no big expectations advertised this time!!!! It will just be what it wants to be. I will just let rex grow up to be what rex wants to be.

That sounds like a good idea. I bashed the camden last time for precisely that reason, all these lofty predictions were made, and inevitably never reached. I think the stance your taking now is BANG on. A standalone EMS will pick you up some pony's and driveability, I saw evidence of that yesterday. However you now have a tightly built motor, a different carb setup, and a good attitude, no expectations lets see what it can do.

I have to say, last year, that salesman at camden had some pretty tall tales to tell when we were looking to buy.

But now that we all have widebands, I dont even see a point in Dyno'ing it.

Things can be accomplished on the dyno that you can't do on the street, and it's safer. You can get a car to a certain point on the street, and there are driveability issues you want to tune out on the street, but puting a car on the dyno is key.

Absolutely. I seen a homemade dyno in my travels awhile back. They used a drum with water to give the restriction, or effect of driving on the street.

There were no gauges of any kind to measure. It was essentially just a drum with a car on it.

4 carbs to pick from to be exact......On the dyno I hope to uncap the headers and see how restrictive my exhaust is. I would be willing to take a 10 hp hit for a little peace.....Still gotta finish suspension (****'in bad luck there) and then the engine should be in and running thursday. Break-in should be complete by the end of the street..

I'll be there, probably in the Rx-7. I have a few cousins with Cancer AND two good friends of my parents just passed away from cancer.

I also e-mailed a friend in edmonton and pending buisiness shedule, will be there in his 575M Maranello.

I'm going to try hard to make it to this meet, as I didn't make it to the one in Black Diamond. Haven't had much opportunity to drive my car this season, so I better find a way to get out for a cruise.
