"You don't have holy water?! Gimme some chicken then!"
I would take it over an enzo.

I didn't get a single still of it, so we'll have to wait for the video.
Best part of the weekend, the 1 GB of early 90's dance/techno/hip-hop I loaded up on the i-pod. Memories...
Just want to give my own thanks to Will and Stacy for their hospitality, and to Jason for giving me a ride on the cruise. Thanks for Carrey for giving me a ride to go get some much needed hamburger patties. Last but not least i guess i'll thank John and Nik on behalf of everyone who's engine they compression test. Shame on you all for not giving them beer.
Actually it's probably a good thing no one did since they argue worse than a married couple on their 50 anni.!!
This cruise was still a blast despite the weather, made for some high-heart rate moments i wouldn't have expirienced if Jason was driving on dry pavement! And i guess it brought everyone closer together under the umbrellas
Hope to see everyone at the next big meet! Or on Wednesday!!

eVilRotor knows his Supercars!! It was indeed a Porsche Carrera GT! The machine is beautiful, no doubt. I would take it over the Enzo because of the manual gearbox it's got. None of this flappy paddel BS!!
And that scream!! Almost as good as Ferrari's screaming engines!!!
Can't wait for the vid!! You'll see all our reactions, espcially the brown guys one!!!
Lates,

Lates,
Neo taking a Porsche over a Ferrari??
well you probably know, but it's not so much of a flappy paddel shifter...it takes less than 150 milliseconds for it to shift, and in between it will actually adjust the dampers and engine output to make shifts even faster and seemless...or so they say. i will most likely never experience one so it's hard to say if it is better or not.
but the Carrera GT is a wicked car...someone get the video up!

I can do just the coverage of the Carrera easily enough. Right now, getting it off the camera is the prob. Won't happen 'til Thursday or Friday at the earliest. But it will happen soon.
as much as i like manual shifting, the padel shifting is pretty sweet never have to take your hands off the wheel and it shifts just as fast if not faster then i could ever shift...
to clarify this is on amg's not porshe or ferrari but i'm guessing it would be pretty damn similar

I had a ride around Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in a Ferrari 575M, and the paddle shifter was great! No lags, no jerkiness, just smooth crisp up and down shifts. The only weird part was remembering to drop it into neutral before you come to a complete stop, or the engine stalls!

LOL... Nice... My favorite part:
"It's got power windows, A/C..."
WOOP-DE-FREAKING-DO!!! Tell me about the variocam, or the multidisk clutch, or how it reacts to drop throttle at mid turn. Don't tell me it goes feature for feature with my 20k Protege5!

Man, you guys really hate supercars, huh???
The guy was really cool about us examining the car from head to toe. He was listing those particular features because somebody brought up a comparison between the Enzo and his GT. The guy did test drive an Enzo (a buddy of his) but he found the GT more comfortable.
Of course this had nothing to do with the fact he owned 3 other Porsches...
I think if I guy can afford something as extravagant as a Carrera GT, he won't care about any technical details. All he knows is the car is a limited run, very few people will own one, and he's lucky enough to afford one.
Personally, between the Enzo and the GT, I would take the GT. Yes, that's right, I would take the GT. Simply because of the gearbox!! I was never a fan of flappy padel gearboxes. Yes, I know it'll get you around the track faster, but it's not very involving. I'd understand if I'm going to be racing a car all the time on the track I'll definately take the flappy padel. But on the street a good old-fashion manual gearbox works best!
Keep in mind we're comparing current supercars. Ideally I would take a Ferrari F50!! Can't get more F1-for-the-street than the F50!!!
Amur,
I love that Gif!!! lol
