Damn... a local autocross event on the same day as the cruise.

I look at it this way:

MCO tries to hold (they say) between 8-12 autocross events per season. There will be more.

The 6 hr cruise through the beautiful backroads of the Outaouais region only happens once a year.

I'll be on the cruise, but I can't wait for the next autocross

Seriously, what's a few passes around cones compared to a lot of cornering along the nicest roads in Québec among tens of other RX-7s

MAY 22nd: Everyone is invited to the Cumberland/Masson ferry at 9am for a huge cruise in Quebec through some of the nicest roads you'll ever see. We'll be doing a similar route to last year, so it's not for the faint of heart (or weak stomachs)... this is THE highlight of the weekend.

As usual, directions to all the spots will be provided at the Corel Centre.

Exactly the same thing.

A little water won't hurt. Just make sure you have good tires for the cruise and an umbrella for the meet/bbq, 'tis all.

In rain you drive slower so that you don't go sliding out of control, it's common sense for most folks (yourself included I assume).

With them slowing down, they probably passed by a group of cops set-up with a speed trap. Without the rain, the faster ones might have been going fast enough to get some major police ***-rapeage.

Actually that's what I assumed, I just wanted to confirm that, and was wondering why there would be a speed trap setup in the middle of nowhere (i don't know the area, but I would think it's not a likely place for a speed trap)

Any word yet as to whether or not Aaron Cake will actually be driving an Rx7 this year? (I don't hang out in the 2nd Gen section, and haven't been following his progress lately).

I know he built an engine, I don't know what else was left on TIINA after that.

Damn... Only 4 more days off and about 8 days worth of work to do...
I still HAVE to get my electical overhauled and get my interior installed, replace my missing side marker and broken tail light...

Plus my stereo and foglights need to go in... and I wanna get the direct fire leading ignition installed too...

Oh yeah, and I got shocks and springs to install... lol!
No big deal!

I posted hotel info a couple pages back.

5-6 people (or more) usually end up crashing at my place and there's plently of room to pitch tents if you're into kind of thing.

Dont worry... we take care of the out of towners .

I have a two-man tent in good shape and a stack of sleeping bags if someone wants to borrow it for the Saturday night. This includes stakes and a fly/flier/cover thingy that goes over the tent to keep rain out. I also have a stack of sleeping bags if you don't have your own.

I'm not just going to stuff it all in my 7 and offer it up to the first taker at the meet. If you want it, ask for it now. Nobody asks = I ain't bringing any of it.
