is there anybody coming down from Kingston Ontario? I really wanna see all the rotaries but I'll need a ride... lol. No I don't own a 7, wish I did though! if I had 20k to blow I'd get a FD in a sec but I don't. Anyway I'd be very grateful if anybody wanted to give me a lift to the meet

Trying to debate whether it's worth washing the car...If I don't do it, then it won't rain. If I do, then rain is certain....

Hey everyone I'm coming too in my red teg (representing the hondas over 250k...)

Last year I rode with Jason in his black n/a FC, but that's just too slow

Will, is the cruise route the same as last year? Like to the point where you are re-using the same directions?

coldfire - unplug either of the leads on the sensor at the bottom driver's-side corner of the rad - you don't the AWS at this time of year, anyway.
yeah, 4k was too high, but i blame it on my broken narrow range TPS. for now i just put it in first and clutch in on start up to disable AWS.

other problems:
- i accidentally broke narrow range TPS, and now it needs to be held in ALL THE WAY, like with my finger, or car won't rev past 2k
- idle is ****, runs a little rough, no backfiring like i used to have, misfires on decel
- there is a really loud noise coming from the LIM/ACV area. gets louder with more revs. sounds like a farting/weed wacker/gas powered remote control air plane

i may just have to limp down and hope i can get some help to fix it

Wash the car before leaving London. That way, the rain clouds will be drawn to London and leave us alone!

I have a spare that works. We'll put it in tomorrow. You can use it until the end of the cruise.

Well, I washed the car today, so at least the rain should be drawn to Niagara

Of course, the weather forecasters get the weather COMPLETE wrong. Earlier in the week it was suppose to be gorgeous and hot, later in the week, they forcastes a little cooler, this morning there was a chance of rain on Sunday only, and now their calling 60% of rain both Sat and Sun...man, what are these weather forecasters getting paid to do? They've been getting progressively worse over the last year, they can't even get it right 24 hours before.

Well guys, that's it for me. Wasn't able to make it this year. Wasn't meant to be.
Made it as far as the Québec Rendez-vous point, before a coolant hose broke loose and took my water pump with it.
Had to CAA my car back home )o:
If you read this before tomorrow, enjoy it for me please!

Until next time...

I tried, but didn't make it either

Spent all week getting the car cleaned up and ready for my first meet. Spent the whole morning washing and waxing until the car looked really good.

I live 35 miles south of Ottawa and drove up the 416, only to run into rain. AFter a few minutes the windshield wipers seized up. Made it to my brother in laws place in Bells' Corners. We stood out in the rain and took the cowl off, the wiper motor and linkages out, only to find a HUGE (size of a football) mouse house jammed in the linkage for the driver's wiper.

Finally got to the Corel Centre in the pouring rain with a now filthy car at about 4:15, and nobody was there. Drove around to all the local restaurants looking for RX's and never found anybody.

I'm an 1 1/2 hr drive from the meet point tomorrow and I don't think I'll be making it. Getting up at 5:30 every weekday is bad enough without getting up at that time on the weekend. I'd have to clean the car all over again, and leave here shortly after 7 a.m.

Am I dissappointed - YUP.

Still enjoyed the ride back with the RX Quebec gang (with no rain on the return trip)

Thank's David for your hospitality and the drinks

Yes, unfortunetly several cars took off after a few minutes in the rain. However, no one seemed to know when they would be back, or where they had gone. We moved our cars into the long covered crossway beside the parking lot to get out of the rain, actually made for some pretty nice pictures. We stayed there for over an hour, then were told to leave by security.

Great BBQ at Wills house followed, and the cruise is tomorrow. The rain sucked in the afternoon, but a great meet nonetheless.

?? By 3pm we had at least 30-40 cars there. The only people who left where the Quebec guys who went to get a bite to eat.

We where at Corel Centre until 4pm and actually had a pretty good turnout. Thanks to everyone who braved the rain . We had no idea when or if the Quebec guys where coming back and everyone was pretty tired of the rain so we started coming back to my place. Why didnt you guys from Quebec just come here for bbq??

I was suprised the meet turned out to be as good as it did... the covered tunnel at Corel was actually a good idea (who came up with that idea?). I've also never had so many people come over to my place after. The weather actually got nice as soon as we got here too. I hope everyone who came out had fun and ate/drank til they where full .

With a little luck the rain will hold off and we'll a good cruise tomorrow.

i have got to say that was nuts. i was one of the 7 or 8 who were pulled over just after the roll over. our information was recorded so that if anyone called the quebec provincial police and said that we were disobeying the law in any way, we would be automatically fined.
we didnt even make it up to the speed limit for the entire 80kms left to ontario. its not too often that you will see a gmc truck trailing a boat go to pass an FD.

i had an awesome time besides for the stiffest suspension and having a road block.
big thanks to the organizers and hopefully the QPP dont send us tickets in the mail.

Well here is my thanks list!

Thanks:
for will for another event. It was great as usually and still one of a kind.
to John and taylor for the lodging and food.
to nik for the use of his wideband and helping fix the cars
to john for cleaning up the dyno tune rich spots with niks wideband.
to jay (twinturbofc) for owning me at the stop light.
to arron cake for the template.
to all of the people who took the time to show up and hang around. Nice to meet new people all the time.

Over all it was great. Getting pulled over by a hot cop was another bonus.

until next year!

(I am looking forward to the next year's meet already)
