Storage Unit Fc3s

About 8 years ago I bought a 1987 Turbo II out of a storage unit for $700 that had been auctioned off due to non-payment. The car was very clean, no motor. Had some dated mods that lead me to believe it was a pretty quick car in its day. During this time I already owned a 480ish whp 13b FC and knew I didn't want to take on building another rotary. Especially since they were both blue. I debated back and forth and finally put a 1jz out of my MKIII supra in the car. I wasn't very happy with the fitment and a few other things so the project took a backseat to my other cars. Fast foward to earlier this year a buddy and i started a youtube channel documenting our project cars. While talking the FC kept coming up (this is sometime in early February). I was hesitant to bring another project onto the channel due to my turbo 510 and his SR20 swapped 1974 toyota corolla not being finished yet. We shook hands that we would have the FC done in 1 month.

Now that we are current below are the pictures. The car is a gen 4 aluminum 5.3 with texas speed heads that have been ported and milled. I don't remember the cam size but it has a Texas speed cam and valvetrain as well. Backing the motor is a t56 from my old 2000 Camaro with a McLeod RXT clutch and fidanza flywheel. Headers are shorties that were off my camaro before I converted to long tubes, only modification has been cutting the flanges off and installing v-bands. Everything was done in my garage in about 3 weeks time. The car is done and runs terribly due to not having a tune so i cant comment on Hp or anything BUT as soon as a dyno opening comes up i will update with a graph.

I also converted the car from power windows to manual windows, I have the exceptionally clean stock power door panels available.

I finally got the kinks worked out and got her tuned. It’s a super basic motor consisting of a gen 4 aluminum 5.3, ls6 heads, and a small cam. The mufflers are very restrictive 2.25” inlet racing beat mufflers that we’re on the car when I bought it. With no cats, no resonators, just the racing beats the car is quieter than a stock Camaro. The headers are also cheap shorties and it’s an ls1 intake.

anyways enough excuses it made 360whp 360ftlbs dead nuts. It’s pretty fun to drive at these numbers, I wouldn’t call it fast but it’s definitely fun.

I’m already deciding on a power adder.
