Simple Question

Is it possible to assemble a rotary engine out of step with the counter weight?

I have a shake in the engine, I think it is fuel injection on MS2 but I am trying to rule out all possibilities. The engine has run for 5 hours on a test stand before it was put in the car.

the counter weights can only be put on one way so it shouldnt be off balance unless you put the wrong weight on or the flywheel could be off balance also i think if you change flywheels to aluminum or t2 or n/a they have different counter weights for the different weights flywheels. if you havent checked the e-shaft end play the shaking could be your E-shaft going back and forward in the engine. you should probably post this in the rotary tech section for better answers

I did the entire build of the engine and the way it appears there is only one way this engine can go together. As for the fly wheel and counter weight both are from the same engine. So that narrows it down to fuel ( injector ) or timing which is done by MegaSquirt. Good news is that I don't have to tear the engine down.

Thank you.

would probably be best if you described this "shake" a little more. if you can, post a video of it.

also, just curious ... why did you post this thread here?

Oh my, I thought I was posting on the Second Gen Specific and I really am not sure where this is now. ( looking this section is for Builds and I did rebuild this FC engine for my FB restoration. ) I have a You Tube video in the works. Should have it ready shortly. This an FC engine in an FB body restoration/ Upgrade. I will have to find the TECH section, Sorry about the location of the post.

Ark1.

Here is the You Tube Video of the engine running in the car. I will post in the Tech Section as well.

no need. just contact the moderator for this section and have them move it somewhere more appropriate.

for some reason the video link is not working for me (admittedly, I've been having computer issues lately, but I can still play other Youtube videos. bottomline is I haven't seen your video yet.
