SK Shaolin7 - My Build & Questions

Hello Everyone, I know this is long overdue as I'm approaching the 10 year badge (I was in highschool for 4 of those years and driving a Jalope 88 gxl with a rusted floor!). But I can finally say that my build is almost 90% complete and I can now start some serious questions. It's be a journey and I think my total bill is around $18,500 with a freshly painted 1990 body (150,000 kms on odometer).

That being said I will start with the list of what I have done and move on to some of the more interesting questions.

Engine
  • 13BT S4 built from reman housings at Rotary Engine Canada: Includes S6 internals, large thrust, and Street/Race port and polish.
  • Gilmer Belt Drive Kit
  • Powermaxx high output 140amp alternator
ECU & Ignition System
  • Microtech LT10S ECU
  • Microtech X4 Ignition Module
  • Microtech LT Series 4 Line Hand Controller with dongle
  • 4 Bosch HEC 715 Coils
Fuel System
  • Bosch 040 Fuel Pump
  • 1600cc Injectors x 2
  • 550cc OEM Injectors x 2
  • Fuel Rails
  • Aeromotive Fuel Regulator
  • Aeromotive Fuel Filter
  • Stainless Steel Hoses and Fittings
Turbo System
  • Greddy Profec type S (classical I know) Boost Controller
  • HKS Black Limited Edition Super SQV Sequential Blow Off Valve
  • Turbonetics T4OE .60 AR . 84 hot side
  • Greddy Exhaust manifold
  • 46mm Precision Turbo Wastegate
  • Turbo heat shield
  • 3″ down pipe
  • Intercooler was a No-Name brand but sturdy purchase.
Cooling
  • Koyo Radiator & Electric Fans
  • Racingbeat oil cooler lines to a stock oil cooler
Drivetrain
  • Rebuild Transmission
  • Custom Driveshaft
  • ACT Lightweight flywheel
  • Stage 2 Clutch Package
Brakes
  • Stainless steel lines, Rebuild calipers, replacement rotors and new pads (4 Pot all around)
Exhaust
  • Racingbeat stainless steel exhaust and muffler cat-back turbo system
Suspension
  • BC Racing Coilovers
  • Parts by Maxx Rear Camber Bar & End Links

- Fog lights installed to pass safety inspection, I will likely change out when I go with a body kit at a later point.

So onto the next set of things. Looking at my list I am currently running 10psi boost un-tuned and scheduled to take it for the dyno tune this winter, possibly next spring. I would like to push it up to 14 or 15psi as my ultimate goal is to hit the 400-450hp. My coworker is looking at buying a Corvette for the $30,000 mark so I would like to make sure my build can keep up with his purchase. I am sure by the time I get rims, body, and suspension done I'll be approaching the $25,000 anyways.

- 15 psi sustainable? Do I tune for 10 psi for current springs and then adjust the profec up while near a dyno?
- I was hoping this build alone would take me into the 400hp range. Without the Dyno I can't really tell. It does go like snot though when the boost hits... slightly later than I guy would like.
- My thoughts are my next step is to work on suspension. Agreed? With Ronin tri-point fenders I am hoping to squeeze the widest 17s I can.

That car looks like a legit sleeper! Can't even see the intercooler. Very well done!
