Got the car running again! Very happy about that need to finish up some of the maintenance work, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem. I bought a mint Turbo II hood to replaced my damaged current one. Also picked up a Touge Factory bucket seat. Just need my bracket to mount it to come in and we are good to go! Also started test fitting aero. Front bumper needs some trimming but the rest of the kit seems to fit well. Just have to use the factory mounting brackets which is no big deal.

Car runs again!

Not properly mounted I know lol just sitting on the rear crash bar.

I'm very interested to see how the aero works out. I'm building a drift car and don't intend to buy brand name aero to trash at every other event.

How much trimming was involved on the front and how did the other panels fit?

Cool history behind that car, what are the specs of your engine right now?

Also big fan of advans, have you decided on selling them?

The sides and rears fit great no modification needed for those the fronts I still need to do a little trimming to get it to line up. It's a matter of where the The fender is angled downwards and then goes straight back on both sides. I don't really know how to explain it other than the bottom front corner of each fender meeting the body kit. Should be much cutting I got it close. As for name brand I will probably get something like sexy style or origin for next season when I become more familiar with the FC chassis drifting wise. Don't really want to smash a 700+ dollar kit the first time I take the car out haha.

Car has a full Reameiya rebuild kit for the motor, mild street port, bigger turbo not sure exactly what size, running HKS management, currently at 8psi because still a couple things I want to fix before I crank it up to 16. But I don't know if I'll even go that high just to keep it more reliable. Currently I would estimate around 275-300 hp. Car feels very fast to me after being in a Miata the last 3 years lol.

As for the advans, I want to keep them this year at least and my plan is to either source another set or acquire some Gram Light 57D's. We will see though just ideas at this point.

I was gonna say, it looked a little big.

When will you have the BN front bumper on and how much did it cost? If/when I get my own FC, I will probably pick up one for myself if the price is as good as you said it was.

It's not a real BN kit it's the duraflex rep. I got mine for a great price from a friend so I didn't really pay close to retail. I am going to get the aero all on this Saturday.

Well spent all weekend basically trying to get the aero on. I finally did but I'm really not in the slightest bit happy. The fitment is dreadful. None of the bumpers or sideskirts fit where they are supposed to. The front bumper fit the worst out of all it was too narrow for the car and where the fender meets front bumper near the headlights is a disaster lining up. This is a duraflex kit and I will not be picking one of their kits up ever again. I'm not sure if it was just this kit in general but I'm really not happy about it at all. Should have just got the aero I originally planned on getting and not cheaped out. Oh well you live and you learn.

Worst fitting aero kit I've ever had to deal with.

I can see where some lines may not match exactly, but it doesn't look terrible. Any chance that bodywork and paint can hide the misfitment?

Looks good! I understand why you don't like it, but personally I don't think it looks that bad. Repainting the kits will definitely help make it look better. I'm digging the wheels too haha

Hey guys. Been a while since I've made a post. Been busy figuring out boring life stuff haha. But anyways here are some updates! Really getting close to driving it again. Signed the car up for its first drift event too! 2 day Club FR event in Shawano Wisconsin April 23-24. It is a tight technical go kart track used for drifting. Ton of fun used to go a lot with the Miata last summer. So it'll be interesting to see how the 7 will do!

Coilovers are still a few weeks out. Stance updated to their Gen 2 stance USA coilover design. Went with 8k front rates 6k rear rates. Super excited to test out the new design!

The main thing hindering me from driving the car is the seat bracket being on back order for my relax seat. It is still a few weeks out as well. Soon enough though.

Unfortunately money/time permitting I don't think I'll have the car painted right away which is sad so I'll just do some simple touch up work and make the paint look better for now.

Before and after doing some small touch up work.

Also getting all my gauges ordered soon I will be running boost gauge (already have that one) oil pressure, coolant temp, and fuel pressure, as well as wideband.

Possible gauge mounting location. We will see!

Ignore my temporary radio delete panel lol.

Got some new wheels as well! New wheels is always good. Picked up some white Work Cr Kai's from my buddy. 17x9 +22 front and 17x9 +17 for the rear. I think they will look great on the car.

What r those?!

Also decided to change up things aero wise wasn't happy at all with the BN just didn't fit the style I was going for so I sold it and bought a second hand Sexy Style kit. Aka, my favorite aero! Super excited to run it this year.

Sexy Style ft. Snickers the cat.

I think that's all I got going on right now. Mainly small stuff just getting the car ready for the season. Just started at a new job that I really enjoy so more money for car parts haha. Thanks for tuning in!

I am too haha. Wouldn't fit my car at all the style I'm going for. Staying stock body. BN more compliments big over fenders and that's just not the look I'm going for.

Finally finally finally!!! So happy right now. My new coils came in. I went with 8k front 6k rear rates with Stance Suspension USA gen 2 design. These are super nice. I can't wait to get them on the car this weekend. Can't wait to lower the car some more and slide on the new coils.

Couple small updates this weekend. Just did a lot of little odds and and ends to get the car ready for its first drift event. Installed the new coils, fixed wiring issues, changed oil, did spark plugs, and other random stuff. Nothing too crazy. Going to try and get my ebrake working tomorrow have a new main cable to replace the old one hopefully it works lol. Planning on taking the car out for a shakedown tomorrow and first drive of the season. I also got my ARP wheel studs in the mail as well so I will probably get those in this week. Really glad this car is starting to finally come together!

Highly recommend ARP for anything fastener related. Had their wheel studs on my Miata and Head studs. Never had any problems.

On jack stands more than its in the ground lol oh well.

Car is on the ground driving again! So happy to be driving around again. Wanted to give a big shout out to StanceSuspensionUSA for the these phenomenal gen 2 coils for my car. Car rides like an absolute dream and stays solid and planted through the corners. Took the car out for some shakedowns and it drifts quite well actually. Just have to get my ebrake to function properly. Going to do some touch up work just to make it look a little better and keep driving it around because it's to much fun not to. Good things coming for this car really soon!
