Funny how something as small as a broken 1/4 in extension can just ruin your workflow a quick trip to the snap-on truck and even quicker depletion of my wallet and we are equipped and ready for business.
Mid-progress, hope to pick up a pressure washer and some degreaser tomorrow
Also forgot to mention the restored ftps done up by a club member on here. Very nicely done
New pressure washer ready for duty, this thing is pretty compact
With the engine out, I let the bay soak in degreaser for a couple of minutes and did a couple passes with the sprayer avoiding any sensitive electronics
Last but not least the flyin miata frame rails came in the mail after being back-ordered for the longest! My car won't even sit on jackstands evenly because of how bent the oe rails are. Leaving this one to the pros
Interested in the frame rails... do you just bolt them over the existing ones? And how is your floor pan? previous owner thought that was a great spot to jack from and got some nasty dents in em.

Great build so far too! lol im loving it!
Thanks ^^
They do slide right over and cover the entire length of the rail except the very front which isn't a huge deal, it's a tight fit and the dimensions look like it's made for the fc. 100% satisfied
My floor pan is raised and dented to all hell too, seems like the car was highlined straight down the middle at some point but everything will be straightened and proper before these are bolted on. Not some weak cover up job
Man I really dig them rails brotha . How much they set you back . Can you get a few more pics of those rails . If I can't buy I'll make . The bottom of my rails are monster mashed like no other lol
Where are these on their website, they do not appear tapered near the back as the OE ones are. Do these sit below the pinch weld seams along the rocker panels?
A couple more pics particularely where they go up front to the engine bay chassis rail sweep. I was planning to fab my own, but this may be a much much better option.

Im not sure about the taper on the stock ones but it tucks really nicely and don't think ground clearance is an issue what so ever, don't think it even goes past the pinch weld. 14 gauge, all stainless too which is nice
Found out these rails do not account for the fc's taper. Going to try it out anyways and if it becomes a problem when we go lower then I will just cut and section it accordingly
Man that's just extra protection.I mean you could slice down the middle on both sides and push the center in and weld cut off the extra sides . I'm really going to look into this now . These are what I need .
Thanks for a the pics so far

Right on the money with this one, super easy angles to work with.
Supernow toe-elimanitor bushings + Sard high pressure radiator caps
Mounted a set of 225/50 16 Falken Azenis all around, also got a free pair of 215/45s that I might use up front for better fender clearance but we will see.
(Bald 205/50 15 on vert bbs for comparison)
