I'm a little late in posting, but I just ran into the thread. Not sure if you did the fab work or not, but it looks great. Even if you didn't, the approach is refreshingly different. Looks fantastic!

gave me a xtra inner axle to take the car to IFO here in san antonio. decided to take it easy on my first pass so I got a real slo 1.99 60 ft then went WOT !!!!
slammed 2nd gear, and couldn't get 3rd if I wanted to, after "jammin" it into 3rd( 2-3) sec later ended w/ a 12.49 @ 124 mph the most shockin thing is that at the 1/8th mile it was 8.88 @ 81 mph I gained 43 mph from the 1/8 mile to the 1/4 mile I myself was like DAMMM very happy, got 1 more "rebuilt" tranny to try n get sum 9 sec passes soon.

G force tranny commin soon, bout to say good bye 2 the "street car"

yes sir, still running the stock tranny/mazdaspeed diff w/ 4.30's, but i'm so close to going auto to run a number. I so want to keep tryin the "all mazda" way and run mid to low 9's, but it's not easy as some may think it is. I thought that w/ 600 + rwhp it would be easy. I thought wrong, but I have not given up jus yet. I will run 9's before i run an auto, jus because I love the challenge. the down side is that it's costing me ALOT of $$$$ and time. so mad props to all the "IRS" 9 sec mazda "street cars" I will be joining you guys soon !!!! I HOPE ????

heres the link to the auto I will be going w/ after I meet my goal

I see breaking stock axles as a good thing. Keep up the good work. Do you use a pinion snubber?

as for the diff It is now a solid mount, it hits very hard the car use to run 1.49 60fts all day long w/ the old setup. the good thing is that i have not changed much,so i know what the problem is it is the clutch setup. I'm in the process of going w/ the tilton flow control valve to control the shock to the drivetrain it is not power or torque that is causing the problem. due to the fact that when i launch i'm doing it on a free rev no 2 step anti lag etc....... thats what i did before and cut the 1.49 60's but that was a different turbo. this is all a new learnig curve for me, and i will share the results w/ others once i get it under control stay tuned cuz 2 step anti lag nos will be in the picture real soon

Were you revving up to xxxx rpms then dumping the clutch? Or were you holding your rpms then dumping? I have a stiff mount with a pinion snubber. I couldn't dump the clutch though since I had 18's with 245's Falkens and that = hopping. I ended up holding rpms at xxxx then easing out clutch right before engagment then slipping the 60'. I can't wait to be able to actually launch it with the BBS's and MT's.

iv'e tried to slip the tilton clutch, but it don't like it . the norm rpm launch for me is 6500 -7500 I think the flow control valve is the answer for me, will have it next week !!!!! will let u know how it goes
