operation rescue recesitation rebuild (valentina's journey)
this is valentina's journey.
soo december 12th rolls thru the day is finally HERE me and my homie get in his diesel and drive up to va to meet up with UNREN (awesome dude btw) after hours of driving we finally get to his house and begin the process of putting the sub frame back in about a hour later we are loading the car on the dolly wam bam we are on our way..
but before then we had to make a stop at blimpies (******* AWESOMness )
so the car jst sat idle for weeks before i started to clean it out vac out all the leaves and rat nest and seeds.. all of that.
fast forward to the first of jan (5 days before my bday) i drive up to jersey and stop by goodfellas place for a carpet but atlast it was missed placed. GREAT GUY btw very knowledgeable and fair.
drove up to rotarydriver108 place awesome mellow dude along with his brother got my fd to fc adapter and fd upper and throttle body. then drove to the bronx to my homie christophers spot to get some headers and give him seats.
now to present day
the exterior of the car is some what EH.. mixed with hmm... in other words its got its dings and dents but no rust. at this point valentina is the hot chick dressed up like a tom boy.

as far as the engine is concerned there isnt much info on it aside from a possible coolant seal or oil control rings being fcked on it.
everything sounds good tho so the plan is to start the engine find out whats wrong if there isnt anything wrong then i will do a 6 port turbo if its a bad motor i will just invest in my apex seals and put my motor together and call it a day.
please disregard the mess its been cold and i have been unmotivated to clean..
also i dont have any carbid burrs soo i am tackling this project with grinding stones... (awful idea) i should of waited.

i originally wrote a big list of **** but unfortanatly i hit the back button and lost everything soo the short version is this.
i wont be working on the manifolds till after friday at which time i will buy carbide burrs as i see this turning ugly soon..
i also do not understand why the ports look sooo AWFUL on camera i assure the gaskets match.. i will clean all of this up with burrs as soon as i get my hands on some.
you guys can ignore everything after this section its like a todo list post

thats all my tired mind can think of.. the first time i started a project i went at it all crazy and fcked up alot.. if you guys read this and think of any random tidbits of advice to save me in the long run please let me kno

You have plenty of work to do! (Those fuel pump screws can be a complete bitch.)
I noticed you are changing the dash to black. Are you going with black carpet and interior pieces? The reason I ask, is that the burgundy interior is just so ugly. lol

lol yeas i am.. im going el cheapo with the rug tho im going to home depo or something and buy some nice carpet (maybe floral or landscapy? (im kiddin) and alot of glue and that foil **** for insulation and a heat gun imma go to town at it.. ive seen it done turned out nice..

does any one know where to get the screws for the fuel pump? you kno the ones that bolt the pump to the tank?
and what does the third hose do not the two that feed fuel or returns fuel but the one that goes towards the middle of the tank..

gotcha... thanks guys i have to find a barb fitting to connect the two hoses again i really dont wanna drop the tank again.
little up date
took the rest of the carpet out
took the dash out
cleaned a little bit of the engine bay and engine
took some of the dents outs enough for a thin layer of bondo
i orderd my gaskets from mazda 60 bucks ..smh they came in today (tuesday) cant pick em up till later this week.
i bought a holset hx50 for 30 bucks to add to my turbo collection
i am in the process of modifiing my flo-fit seats to the fc rails (seems like i just need spacers and longer bolts ... is this safe? i need about a extra inch)
thats all i can think of right now

update i got my seals from mazda but unfortunatly im broke and i cant a afford a s4 water pump and the water housing and pump that came with the car is for a s4 and wont clear the s4 front cover.
so i started doing body work and soder and crimp my haltech harness
ill post pics up later on tonight hopefully i did a good job

yea but compared to victoria ( my 88 vert) this body is immaculate.. right now its just dirty but i bet if i clean it up give it a good wet sand and a buff it will shine ... err if you ignore alot of the dumb *** dents anyway stay tuned im going to be posting pics up in a few!!

ok sorry guys i had a booty call i needed to attend to

anyway soooo i used a slide hammer and banged these dents out you can see some of them in previous pic this whole panel was dented in. i dont think i added more then a 1/8 or a 1/4 of bondo i hand sanded it all down but relized that this was stupid since my fingers cause high and low spots.. and conforms to the high and lows. anyway so after talking to a buddy i have to take this whole this off and do it again because i didnt weld the holes shut.. in my mind it would give the bondo something to hold to (i was tired it was 5 am and it seemed logical)
so tomorrow i will take all the crap off again and do it again ... with welded holes.
crap i just remembered i think i left the bondo can open will it still be good?

basically i did some body work.. im kinda figuring out what to do.. i think im doing good so far i have to weld the holes shut while being mind full of warping the sheet metal. and rebondo everything. took care of the dents in the back i have a few high spots.. or low spots depending on how you look at it. do i have to strip all of the primer off before i rebondo the high and low spots?

racing beat header.. (very nicely made)

s5 fuel rails on my s4 block stock na fuel injectors one has a broken pintle cap.. shouldnt cause problems if im just starting the car and letting it warm up right?

s5 water pump with the s4 jaunski cover.. i grinded down the 8th bolt mount enough to clear the front cover

instead of making a new bracket i just modified the tps and the tps mount off a fd to fit.
in hinesight i shoulda modified the fd mount more then the haltech sensor as the mounts cheapre then the sensor.


i dont kno how but some how i drilled and taped the one hole crooked.. smh fail

i think its umm.. rotary somethings adapter maybe fc3s4 something
