N/a & tii
Hopefully someone can finalize this questions answer for me.
I am working on a N/A and I got a TII trany for 100 bucks. Now I want go with a new clutch for the TII trans but do I need a drive shaft for a TII or is the N/A and TII drive shaft the same? I was told they are not the same.

Theirs a couple different ways you can go at this point. As stated above, Mazdatrix sells a custom driveshaft that will make the T2 tranny attach to the N/A rear end. For the price with shipping, it is a really good option to consider swapping in a T2 rear end instead of purchasing the aftermarket driveshaft.
While the T2 tranny attached to your n/a engine may not make enough power to break the rear end now, if you decide to increase the power in the future, your rear end is going to be the weak point of your drivetrain.
Personally, to avoid using custom/aftermarket parts, I would buy a T2 driveshaft and rear differential instead of the aftermarket driveshaft from mazdatrix.
Now if you have a custom diff setup with the 4.30 or 4.44 Miata Torsen LSD, then it would be a better idea to keep your rear end. If your diff setup is stock, I'd recommend going to T2 parts.
