My WTF are u doing build!!

Hey guys whats up? let me start off by saying all ney sayers i respect your opinion, but i dont need it cluttering up my thread please

now i have recently made my return to the FC world which, lets face it, was LONG over due!!!

i picked up an early 88 GXL off a buddy (pics of car hopefully next week!!) that has no motor, ripped apart and dusty as hell!!! but i do not plan to resurect it with a rotary, nor a V8, JZ, RB, F20, FG63, 4AG...none of that...i am going to tackle the "impossible" and throw an EJ255 into it!!!

here is my current project car which, mechanicly is complete, but getting cut short of the body work (mainly because i hate it and body guy backed out...AND i thnk this will be epic and im a dreamer and would like to open a shop someday in the not so distant future )

my Swapped GC:

and the mess before swap complete...still a little messy but a little better...def getting cleaned up when in the FC chassis!

The mods list is as follows(just the stuff that will be coming with into the FC):
06 WRX EJ255 swap w/ trans
Walbro 255
Perin (iirc) modded 816cc injectors
HKS SSQV
GrimmSpeed Boost Control Solinoid
GrimmSpeed Ported/Polished/Coated/Deleted TGV's
SSAC FMIC
Grimmspeed 8mm Plenum spacers
Synergy 20g turbo 8cm^2 and 3" inlet
Tial 38mm Wastegate
Tomi UEL manifold and up pile moddified for EWG
inovative Wideband w/ gauge
AMR 3" turbo inlet
Killer B motorsports Oil pan, Pick up and Baffle
Prosport Boost Gauge
Custom Parrallell fuel rail mod
Gates Timing Belt
Turbo XS Big MAF Tube
XXR 530s 17x9.75 +25mm
Z Store Flares

this set up should get me to about the 400whp mark...only running it at (est) 345ish now because im still on a TMIC :/

But i have been plugging away with wiring diagrams and have it mostly figured out...once i get the car here and pick up a welder i will be making the mounts for the engine and trans, tearing down the trans to weld the center diff for RWD and measureing up for a Drive shaft, which should be really all i need to buy aside from shop supplies and steel stock for the mounts, and maybe some more piping to mod the I/C and exhaust...

cant wait to get this project rolling though and post up the updates!!!

feel free to chime in any ideas and thoughts...but as stated in the beginning please keep the useless negitivvity out...i do respond positively to constructive critisism, but not to ignorance and people to say i cant with no back up!! -

WOW I like it
I'm a fan of the EJ255. More for the exhaust note than anything else
Should be awesome

yeah i enjoy the higher compression of it which has me dreading the day i rebuild...but i need to do some research to find the right set up to maintain the CR cause the car drives AWESOME on a dd status because of it, i can run out of boost and it feels just as powerfull as my n/a 2.5RS DD!

Just looking at that pic, I'd say the body IS your biggest friable fish ATM.
Mechanical **** is easy, body/paint is expensive and hard.

well thats where we differ my friend Function > Form!! hehehe but i do know what ur saying! i will be doing all the body work myself...and i haven't had a chance to really look over this side, but apparently the body WORK is pretty much done just need some decent fenders fix a nice imperfection on the other quarter and then paint should be the only agenda...this will be my first run with body work, and painting, so i will be Plastidipping the car off the bat...see how that works out for me and maybe try my hand at painting later on.....
