My S4 TurboII to S5 v8 daily build

Well I'm bored at work so I figure I might as well make a Build Thread. I've recieved some great feedback from members of this forum so I figure I will show everyone where I started with my car. It's been a huge project in every aspect (money, time and lots of hard work) I know not everyone is very privy to the de-soulifying or whatever you call it of these cars but I wanted something with reliable power and I got a great deal on this engine and trans set-up so it worked out great for me. I couldn't be happier! I have built many cars in my day but this is by far the greatest accomplishment and the one I am most proud of! I'm open to any and all feedback. Just try to stay away from the "you ruined a perfect turboII" or "why didn't you just get an LS1".. heard it a few too many times already. haha

So I picked the shell up from another forum member(ZenkiFC3S) for like 1100 or so. Had the s5 front bumper, 5 lug, some tokico blues and intrax lowering springs. pretty complete black interior.. missing door panels and small stuff.. overall good shape with 90k original miles, no rust (we live in AZ, one of the perks) body was not horrible but not good by any means

The engine came from a 96 Camaro SS with anout 80k. It's mated to a T56 6 speed trans. I got the whole front subrame from the camaro for $2,000 from my local LKQ recycling yard I do a ton of business with. Considering these trannies sell for 1400-2000 all day long, I think it was a pretty fair deal!

I don't know why I wrote daily in the title of this. I mean I drive it almost daily just because I like it so much but I don't use it as my commuter or anything..

i think the above post is sarcastic.

The car turned out great. Power is your choice and for the price you got it for its hard to nok.

The wiring is dead simple.
I'd avoid the LT1 because of the whack waterpump/Optispark arrangement and the weird "reverse flow" cooling system.
As a purely practical consideration, the oval intake is also a giant PITA to deal with.

I work at a collision shop. It's in North Scottsdale so we deal with a lot of high end cars. Just happened to have 2 vipers in the same week. The white one is supercharged with like 800whp

Maybe the rear valence pods on the sides? Corksport makes them.
