Cool swap, hood is massive!
At first when I read it I'm like "uhh, that's an RX7, not RX8..." now the name makes sense haha

I bet everyone sees a V8 in an RX-7, I see a hood that has an rx-7 and a v8. Bang for your buck its a pretty cool muscle car.

Ummmmm, did you cut out more of hood to allow the scoop to sit a lil flusher with less bondo/filler?? Cuz from where I'm sitting its lookin' like the filler is approx 1/2" @ the deepest area...which means it'll crack out over time for sure......

Thanks for the "rookie tip" but ive been doing hoods and fiberglass moulding and body work for over 10 years.i just took a photo to show how the cowl looked before i cut it down. all the edges you think i just caked bondo on I grinded down paper thin and had zero gaps before moulding!.there might be a 1/8 inch thick layer of filler on there. most of the product(liquid resin) was put under the cowl to bond to the hood cheers
