Not many updates, sadly. I did get a new CF hood but I need to get aero catches for it. Also a CF roof but that's for much later in the future. I kind of got distracted by a $1000 Miata I picked up. I probably should have just flipped it since I have limited funs, but instead I did an entire OEM plus build on it. May sell it to get more funds for the RX7.

I do still have a S5 bnr turbo and oil cooler install to do soon.

Miata sold. I will start putting this in next weekend. From what I was told it's an S5 BNR stage 3.5. Also can finally throw in my upgraded oil cooler lines and cx racing oil lines for the turbo.

Also been heavily considering my options replacing my RTEK 2.1 with a Haltech but am having difficulty deciding what to go with. I would not say wiring is my strong suit. I was looking for the most pnp kit, and was considering the Elite 750 since it would be pretty affordable. But both the Elite 1500 and Elite 750 are pretty out classed by the Nexus S2 now. Lots to think about.

Information update (finally not lazy):
  • Engine is officially an S4.
  • Spare engine is also a S4, including Rotors (TII).

Planned in the next couple weeks:
  • BNR S5 Turbo/manifold. The old one is a hybrid turbo S4 but no BNR stampings, much is unknown.
  • CXRacing Turbo Oil Feed line kit install
  • Corksport Oilcooler lines
  • New O-Rings for the Oil Filter assembly
  • Aerocatch install on TII CF hood
  • Upgrading injectors from 550/720 to 720/1000. I will change RTEK to set to 720/720 as I hear this is the best setting
  • New all metal fuel pulsation damper, recommended at the beginning of this thread
  • New Blue Coolant hoses from HPS
I'm hoping to get to drive this car for a couple months this summer. During winter I plan on buying a Nexus S2 and ditching the rtek 2.1.

It's a tough pill to swallow, spending so much on an ECU, but in my opinion the best money spent is on good injectors and good ecus. The technology has come so far, and the cost really will be seen in the final product. The car will run better and be far more reliable and safe.
