i haven't had the car out this year but i've been working on gathering parts. what i did buy the other day was the last new MOMO shift ****/boot available. it originally listed for nearly $375. since i have an preferred account at the Mazda dealer, i was able to buy it for a shade over $230 (did not come with the plastic shift surround). definatly worth the money because of the restoration i've been doing on my 10AE. here are the pics:

along with a newly used turbo (which i'll post pics of later tonight), i aquired a new to me leather steering wheel (mine is worn badly along the left side), an intercooler hood seal, and the underhood sound deadening. i plan to get better stuff when i can but for now this will have to do:

Your car is coming out great thus far. One recomendation would be to try to get the molding in between fenders and front bumper black because I can see over spray on it. Overall great build and I can't wait to see the finished project.

there is a TON of overspray on the trim. i have worked for hours to get it off. the front lip took days. i'm gonna buy used tail lights just so i can have good outer seals that arent painted white. i cant get the white paint off of tail light seals. i'm gonna order a new seal between the front bumper and the body as well as new door seals etc...once i have the new seals they will stay off the car until i get it painted. i hope to do that over this winter.

dave,

do you have an exhaust on the 10th AE, or is it stock?? I think that will be the only other mod I will do besides a Koyo radiator.

saaaame haha! I love the feeling of having new parts! Just got my driver power window switch replaced brand new. To the original poster, your intercooler looks immaculate! Did you do anything to getting it back to looking original? I'm currently in the process of doing that, and the trim around the cooler needs a bit of lovin lol
