the windows are bronze tinted and are all original. look at the last pic in post #218. you can see teh bronze windows on the 10AE compared to the clear windows on my camry and the red GSL-SE next to the 10AE. it was very bright yesterday and in some pics i agree the windows do not look bronze in my last series of pics.

Love the car and what your doing.

I don't know if it will help any, but my car had the same idle issue. Whenever I pressed the gas the throttle linkage wouldn't return to it's original spot. It was getting stuck, because the thermowax leaked out or got low (not sure how this happens). Whenever I would press it off of the off from the rear of the engine the idle would return to normal, but if I opened up the throttle a bit it would return to a high idle.

The thermowax just didn't expand enough to press the throttle back out to normal, so I just blocked it off and disabled the accelerated warmup. I don't think it's a problem, because I know to let the car warm up. But if you want to keep it original you should be able to order the piece from Mazda.

Hope this helps, good luck with getting it fixed, because it can be a pain. Good luck getting the car how you want it and keep us updated!

thank you for the thermowax advice! i actually disabled the thermowax, backed the throttle stop out, and lubed the throttle shafts and linkages with some seafoam and i'm getting a better idle. it will idle at 75rpm some times and 1000rpm at other times. i'm pretty happy with it as i can live with an idle that's a touch high.

You are doing a nice job on this one. I think the best part of this restoration is that you are taking your time and not rushing. This is impressive.
