And more today! Installed new Mazda oil control rings, in new carriers, with new springs [all left over from Micah.
Measured the apex seal slots' fitment with the ceramics. The pictured one was a nightmare... If you look near the top left edge, you can see where the original apex seal bit into the face parallel to the apex seal slot... Took a while to get that area of the slot cleared [huge thanks to a friend!].
The last picture is a measurement of the height of the original side seals [first number], compared with new Mazda side seals... The old seals are taller... o_O So long as their clearance to the corner seals is good, I guess I'll be using the old ones!

Saturday, I got all the seals clearanced and the coolant passage drilled for the rotor housing XD
Unfortunately there wasn't QUITE enough time to do the assembly.. On the plus side, clearancing the seals only took about 4hrs instead of 5 like the last time I did it. :P

My parents bought me a California Duster for my birthday XD I'm very pleased with it. [spots are dirt on the lens]
Also, got the new hardwares and threaded a bunch of them on... Pulled the water pump housing out of the pile, cleaned up the area a bit, disappointed myself by finding the super clean and painted water pump housing can't be used [no water feed for the turbo..], and stabbed the CAS.
