Lots of MMO in the turbo manifold..
Also the reason why you shouldn't use 1/2"-3/8" adapter to try to remove the front bolt when the pulleys are still on >_<
[After removing the pulleys, buying a 19mm 1/2" socket, and reheating, the DeWalt electric impact took it right off - PBlaster didn't seem to help much, but when you have it, might as well use it.]
Strangely the flywheel nut seemed to have RTV in the threads... It was very hard to take off once it broke loose, the impact was heating up quite a bit so I grabbed the breaker and wound it off by hand.

Man 12 posts is a crazy number of updates.. ^_^" you guys should yell at me to do this more often...
Anyway, my girlfriend got me all psyched up to get the car done in time for the Portland Historic Races [RPNW has a car corral there!], but then I torn down the engine.... >_<
I'm a bit sad about it, since the housings look like they were in great shape before the apex seals went [the front housing has a couple little scrapes in it... Going to teardown the rotor in a little bit here to see if I can find a chipped seal] There's almost no chrome flaking or other unusual wear that I can see..
I can feel a bit of step wear on the plates, but I'm going to have a friend help me measure it.
On the bright side... This means that I'm going to use the BRAND NEW S5 NA housings Micah included with everything, buy NEW Mazda 2 piece apex seals, and buy NEW bearings. As for the side seals, I'm not sure if I need to worry about them, but at the least they'll be re-clearanced.
On the bright side of the parts, Marc [Spyder] said that the turbo looks like it is low mileage. [Though it still has to be inspected for damage..]
I suppose I got what I paid for out of this engine [$260], though it had so much more potential...
In other news, I finally ordered a radio for the car! A Pioneer DEH-6400BT [Yay Bluetooth calling, finally I will have conversations that are less than 40% "What?! I can't hear you!" XD]

hehe, Thanks! ^_^
I always try to document everything very well when I think it could come in handy for people. Hopefully the pictures in this thread [since I started posting with attached pictures..... Micah] would be enough to help anyone else assemble an FC from near scratch as I've had to do.
Still have to have dinner tonight and clean the rear rotor more... Probably won't get to the front until tomorrow or Tuesday.
More pictures soon!

Ok update time!
I haven't gotten much done sadly... But the pictures explain pretty well.
Cleaned up the front rotor and it has some damage as well, also some MUCH better quality pictures of the damage to the front housing..
Also my stereo came in! A Pioneer DEH-6400BT ^_^

Thanks! ^_^
Yea.. I'm a little sad about the housings - though they will get rechromed and help someone else out eventually..
Anyway! Update for today... I picked up a set of S5 Turbo wheels [although two are badly spray painted flat black..] Here's a picture of a good one ^_^

Progress!!
Rear rotor apex grooves mostly cleaned, side seal grooves cleaned, oil ring grooves cleaned, corner seal holes mostly cleaned.
Both rotors are scratched R or F to help keep track.
Tomorrow eve is Rotary Power NW's monthly meeting, I should be able to get some work done afterwards.
Hopefully this weekend I'll get all the parts fully cleaned(/painted?!) and ready for assembly!
