not the correct forum/sub forum for this. But I would suggest getting the mazda shop manuals out of the FAQ in the main 2nd gen specific forum. There is a specific section for the propeller shaft.

Properly jack your car up... And put it on jackstands. You probably have to unbolt the Y-pipe and remove it. Then unbolt the old drive shaft, shove it toward the transmission a bit, as there should be a bit of play. The differential end of the drive shaft should come off of the bolts. Pull it toward the differential and remove it.
Take the new drive shaft... Carefully put the tip/front of the new drive shaft into the transmission. Push up the rear of the new drive shaft and line it up with the bolts. Now, in the FSM when you remove the stock drive shaft, you're supposed to mark the base of it... I don't know if this is necessary with a new drive shaft. UNLESS there is a mark on it. Then you should line your mark up with that mark. If there isn't a particular marking, then disregard what I said about any markings. Line up the rear end of the new drive shaft with the bolts, pull it back onto the bolts, and torque those nuts on those bolts. Reinstall your Y-pipe, let the car down, and voilà! -- Done.

Common sense is you just look at the relationship of the fill plug to the rear of the tranny. If your car is severely tilted nose up when you pull the shaft, yes. Otherwise, no.
What you're asking about is one of the most basic of basics how to do's. If you look in the 2nd Gen FAQ, you'll find a link to an online/pdf Factory Service Manual (FSM). Someone went to a LOT of work to reduce that down to pdf, so it's kind of insulting if you don't at least try to use it. Moreover, do yourself a favor and purchase a Haynes RX7 manual. More Novice friendly with lots of pictures. And, more specifically, the search engine to this forum is your ultimate reference tool.
It's a truth that the only dumb question is the one you didn't ask. But you do yourself (and everyone else on this forum) a BIG favor to your learning curve referring back to the above paragraph before posting.

The Haynes manual is only good for starting fires as is your attitude of jumping all over for somone asking a question thats already been covered.
This is the internet mister "5k post-I live on rx-7 club" and sometimes things right in front of your face are not as obvious as you think.
Give the guy a break and try to be less of a dick.
