Found me a 10th Anniversary!

Found a 10th anniversary and figured I would start a thread for my build. I am so excited that I have the paperwork on it including the window sticker! I setup a blogger site that is linked below and I will update my the thread as well. My goal is to restore the interior and exterior to stock condition but have some fun under the hood. The engine is coming out tomorrow and I will be attempting a rebuild. Have the Rotary Aviation video in hand and ready to go. This is going to be fun!

I'd stop everything else and get back to the chassis.
Strip it inside and underneath, find out how extensive the rust is before fiddling with painting plastics, etc.

Very little surface rust thank goodness. It looks bad in the pictures but that is mostly where the paint is coming off the rubber like material that is attached and not rust. The underside was undercoated by the dealership upon purchase and looks to be fine as well.

Taking the engine up to Kevin L. this coming week. A LOT of parts on the way as well. Have to figure out seats now... I am having trouble finding new covers that will work for sure.

Added some updates to the blog. So coming up on a year I have done a lot but still lots to do. I have replaced just about everything mechanically on the car from the engine bay to suspension and brakes. Just about anything that would wear out I have replaced it! '

I have some of the interior done like new carpet and cleaned up the dash but need to new seats. I also will have to get it painted. Going to keep the interior mostly stock and stock color wheels, etc on the exterior.

I am installing a megasquirt now. That is going pretty well and I am excited about that.

Same blog link but here it is again.

Getting so close to what I would call finished. I am about to paint the finish on this coming week or two. Its amazing how much time and work can go into one of these but its all worth it. Its almost worth the money too

interested in knowing how you like tablet gauge after you have the car on the streets and driving. I know I can hardly see my nexus 4 screen in the daylight so hopefully it works better in your situation

also for that big 54mm you can use a US standard size equivalent all the same, iirc the mm version is more money then the '' version. I bought mine at Sears tools for like $30 with the drive adapter

I ended up using some of those anti glare screen protectors on the tablet and that made it way more usable. I some because I had to try more than once to not get dust particles under it but they are cheap online.

Thanks for the other info!
