Got the surge tank all mounted now to the under body.. all secure.. I was able to pull myself from the ground (102kg or 224lb) hanging off it and it was strong!

Shainiac made a good point of trying to cover it from rocks and rubber being kicked up at it.. So I got a little creative and made this up from 2mm Aluminium

Much happy with the result of this! all bolted down! 4.75L of surge tank!

This also arrived on Friday afternoon!

Australian made and FIA/CAMS approved! Very happy with the quality of the seat!

I am currently waiting for all the track preparation stuff to arrive (tow and battery stickers), fire extinguisher, tow hooks, secondary secure bolt latch, rear brake rotors and track pads... Once they arrive i will be able to put it together and take the seat to get bolted!

I have 2 weeks to get it ready for Aus Time Attack at wakefield park which will be a shake down for this car!

After a crazy last week getting car track ready for Aus Time Attack I was completely flat out getting it done.. pretty much 4pm till 12am every night to have it finished!

Last minute I pulled the pin and got some suspension! MCA reds and they are very nice! And the seat and harness finally installed (mind the dirt)

Well first time on track run and done!

Start of the day heading to do the track

We come across a few things, and a big one was cooling it... After about 1 and a half laps it was getting to 100 degrees (212 F) water temps and 105-110 (230-240) oil temp! Which for this setup is way too hot for our liking!

A few good notes to take was everything else was good! Rest of it was just minor things, like softening the dampers (too stiff and it was bouncing), and we need to replace the left steering knuckle as we believe it is bent.. We can only get a maximum of -2 negative degrees camber from it..

And the other thing is me needing to learn how to drive it!

A few snaps on track hopefully someone had got some decent photos..

End of the day!

Other than that she performed well overall as a shakedown test! No brake fade, and no rubbing! I even attacked ripple strips to see how it handled it and it was surprising well!

The plan now, replace the Hybird intercooler with a Plazmaman in a reverse vmount setup, and me back out on track!
I will hopefully order a BBK soon too.. 335mm AP Racing kit..

Car looked great out there!!

Sounded awesome too! I had my camera and was going to try for some panning shots, but didn't get around to it.

I'll get some at WTAC though.

The RE-Amemiya GT wing has been ordered! They are made to order, so unfortunately I wont see it for another 6 WEEKS! I really wished it showed up earlier so i can begin testing ASAP with it!

Few more shots keep coming up from the weekend!

In a attempted to fix the front left camber issues, i had ordered brand new lower control arm ball joints, as you can see the standard ones are completely shot!!!

Unfortunately it didn't' fix the issue, so it looks to be a bent steering hub which i have one ready to go!

I threw on the sponsor stickers in prep for WTAC.. These guys really have helped me out and given me massive amount of support!

It was time to head to Sydney to address the cooling issues...

Car is at the shop with the front bumper off getting ready to fit the new intercooler...

We chose the Plazmaman Pro Series 550x300x100 - Raceonly Garage have had alot of success and cars will well over 600hp with these coolers!

These photos doesn't do it justice, but the old hybird cooler was a 550x300x76. The Plazmaman stands over it!

This is where we have deiced to place the Intercooler. Due to World Time Attack Challenge rules, says we cannot move the radiator anymore than 75mm regardless! Which put us out from rotating the Radiator to the floor and doing a vmount! Which is a real shame, this was the next best option and so far has come out really good!

All 3 cores will have direct air flow. Unfortunately the Intercooler will only see about 80% of the surface area with direct air flow.

Mounts all painted up

So far really happy with how things have come along.

Has been a bit of a bummer and a long delay due to the fantastic fab man having a holiday (which is great we all need them, and he deserved one) however it has now put a massive dint in my preparations for track time in the car! At this stage from what was going to be 4 track sessions has now turned to 1... maybe possibly 2 if i take days off work.

The RE-Amemiya GT wing has had a delay in Japan. The guys are saying the fabrication guys have move shops and wont have a update until end of next week. The wing was meant to be done 6 days ago... I have sent back asking if they have any carbon fibre GT wings on the shelve they can send instead! Otherwise right now i highly doubt I will have a rear wing for WTAC.

And she's all done!

We ended up moving the oil cooler back a little as where weren't confident that it would of got enough flow

On the Dyno for a health check! And boy very lucky we did!

We did do some remote tuning and could only relie on the O2 sensor, however checking it it seemed to be reading 1 AFR rich (meaning 11.5 was actually 12.5)
thankfully we didn't really push it too much, but it is very possible we could of done a little damage.. But it is what it is.

So where do we start? Below you see the graph, the green pull is last time it was on the Dyno. Since then it has had rebuilt motor, new Apex seals, Plazmaman Intercooler and 4.3 ratios (4.11 before)

We had one massive issue which was giving incorrect dyno readings.. as you can see the red graph at peak torque wheel spin!

Green Line = 22psi, 4.11 Ratio (old motor, Hybrid IC, smaller ports)
Red Line = 21psi, 4.3 Ratio

We also added another 5-7% of fuel to it.. From looking at all the data, if we had traction we should be sitting up around 570-580whp (425-430wkw)

So yeah, to really find out how much power it has we either need to put on a tyre that can get up on the dyno and not wheels spin, or a Hub Dyno.. Considering its making this power on 21psi is awesome! We are at 79% injector duty cycle atm, so will upgrade the secondaries and add another 5psi and see what happens.. but after WTAC

Here we are! The very first piece to my aero development.

RE-Amemiya GT II

Measured ten times and drill 4 times!

At first I didn't like the wing.. I think main because atm it doesn't have any front splitter or rear diffuser, or side skirts. However the photo above just hits the mark!

3 weeks to go untill WTAC 2019

Well ALOT has happened since I last posted about the wing. Just haven't had time to get on the PC and upload to do anything - however here is the catch up!

The RE-Amemiya mirrors where finally done!

I got a N/A bonnet to replace the turbo scoop as it causes drag and lift.. It made a MASSIVE difference..

We deiced to put together a plywood splitter in just two days, 1 week out from WTAC.

Template was done

Luckily a good friend of my is a carpenter and this was very easy for him to do..

All mounted up. There was a few more support brackets i put on however it was strong enough to hold my weight (110kg - 230lbs) without much flex - the sides where a bit weak

Prep for the air dam

75mm wasn't enough so had to use 100mm for the air dam - it actually worked out really well!

All done! I used sealant to seal the bottom of the air dam to the plywood, this was just about done all that needed was to finish the painting

Final wheel alignment

I didn't want the bonnet to be out of place and with only 2 days until i left for WTAC i thought i would just wrap the bonnet, turned out OK in the end

There where 3 goals to this weekend.

1. Finish the weekend with a working car
2. Do a 1:45 time
3. Finish top 15

We did just about all of that, however at a cost!

1. On Friday mid morning we had a issue with fuel pressure - having a lean out under boost.. We found the connection to the pre-pump was loose and not pumping fuel into the surge tank... Massive issue -however because we had the lean out we hurt the motor... I did keep going however it got worse and worse.. We knew she needed to be pulled apart after this event...
2. Ended up doing a 1:43.9220 - way better than i expected.. and we had more in it just had a bad run in the morning with two red flags on both my flyers that was on for a high 41 to a low 42.. just on low boost
3. We finished P16

She is now sleeping at Raceonly shop so we are already planing big for next year!

Nothing special, it was a shakedown and only managed to do 5-6 hotish laps.. the car was just overheating too much.. But anyways it was 1:10.02 - The 1:43 at SMSP turns into around a 1:04 now, we will find out in the new year.. The car wasn't stable at Wakefield.

Finally found a decent shot..

Two weeks after the event, the motor came out..

I didn't get any photos of it apart, however the damage was clear..

It got that hot on the exhaust side it spat out 2 turbo studs with their nuts, and the other two where loose and the nuts almost off aswell..
We checked the turbo and it seems to have survived! For now, we will keep using this setup since we are going to be changing alot of things, its not a bad turbo just need to work on the setup to make it more drive-able.

In terms of motor damage, we put a big dint in the rear rotor, flattened 3 corner springs, and burnt the apex seals to the moon..

Other than that the front rotor was still in perfect condition along with the rotor housings and plates all good!
