Since your car is a Euro model, it could be exclusive to European RX7s. I just looked through the FSM and there is no diagram of that pipe.

I did find a photo of an FB exhaust with a similar pipe as yours. Not sure of the function, though.

The pipe in the middle and the small pipe off the downpipe look to be the ones.

Also the thin pipe on top, with silencer belongs to that.

87JDMturbo, thanks.

That is so bizarre. That completely defeats the purpose of having a catalyst in the first place.

Yeah. Well, in Finland wankelmotors are freed from emission tests. So all in all, it really doesn't matter in here. Althought. Car's been sold in germany as new, so don't know what gives in that. I don't mind. Gives a little freedom in building exhaust.

Same time i changed the plates for smaller, i repaired rear plates base, that was cracked.

Man, I should head down south next summer when MazdaGo has a meeting. Would love to see some other Finnish wankels in person.

Nice wheels!

I also had a pipe on my exhaust leading to the lower intake. Desided to leave it out 'cause my new exhaust had no place for it to actually connect. I figure the pipe is used to recycle the exhaust gases so it wont't be nescessary. I blocked off the intake connection of course

Btw. Do you have ebay coilovers? Im interested in those, but cant find a review of how good they are, but my friend said that the same colored coils for miata is identical to bc coilovers.. And much cheaper.

SJK300 maybe that is a different pipe? since you have turbo version. It doesn`t look the same.

psyaddict, yes those are ebay ones. Now, when i ordered those i wanted fully adjustables, but they informed that only height was on storage. so took those, rear shocks are too tall, in case you want to go really low. mine are now shortened already, and still too high to my liking. Other than that, they are ok. ride is ok, and performed on the track well, maybe a little stiff on front, but that is only a question on how you set it up.

Edit. I don`t think those are anywhere near BC:s Maybe i will upgrade to those next winter. Don`t know yet.

Yeah it is a different one. The one I posted just recycles the exhaust gases and isn't nescessary in Finland.
Just thought I should join the "pipes removed from exhaust systems" photo club
