eBay Steering Wheel

Just wanted to throw a post out about my experience.

Now, this isn't a bash post like most, and I was actually surprised at how it went. Granted this isn't as high quality as momo/nrg/etc., but for $50 it gives me the room I desperately needed.

I have a couple posts about getting room inside the FC, cause I am a big guy. When I picked up my car, I could squeeze into it but the door barely shut, so I took off the arm rest on the drivers side.

The next thing I had to deal with for the first week was the steering wheel cutting into legs. So I shopped around, and didn't want to spend another $200 on a proper setup. Read alot of post talking about how bad these are, found the video of the "fat guy" bending a fake nardi.

I am glad that not only did the hub go on and has been tight and done the job, it retained the turn signal cancel. I had a bit of a problem with stripping the 10/32 3/4" screwes, so I decided to run out to Menard's and put up some proper ones.

At 450 pounds I use the steering wheel to get into the car, couldn't get in any other way. It has now lasted 2 weeks of DD with no bending at all. So this Fat Guy cant bend the wheel off.

I am not saying I recommend this for AutoX, drifting, or anything like that but for a Daily Driver, it isn't such a bad thing.

It was a 350mm Flat bottom, that came with the "Boss" hub:

I applaud you that you are able to fit in the car.(no offense taken I hope...If so I run quick..lol!)

I am just wondering if you have the tilt column or the stationary column?.I always wondered if the tile would come "up" a bit further than the stationary.

I had the same same wheel in my old FC and I loved it, I used when I used to autox and performed just fine, Even when I had it on t NRG quick disconnect hub. Sadly when I sold the car all my good stuff went with it. Thats was back in 2008, but just over the weekend I went bought a Tii, so I'm excited to get back begind the wheel. My new FC came with quick disco hub and sparco wheel.

Haha, none taken. I am happy I can fit as the FC has been my dream car since Gran Turismo 2 came out.

Mine is stationary, which is too bad because for the most part a tilted steering wheel would have worked perfectly.

Really wish I could have found a Tii around my area, but I will be doing a swap eventually. I am just happy I found one with very minimal corrosion. Rear spoiler mounts and a small spot behind passengers door. Should be able to scrub both out and respray.

I hate not having a tilt wheel. The non-tilt wheel is in the exact location I need it, but I am always taking the car apart and the wheel is in the ******* way.
