Chopstix and Hand Grenades

Spring is in the air and it's almost time to hit the track! With the car pretty much done, I figured I might as well backtrack a little and share with the Internet, as so far it's *been pretty behind the shadows, mostly because I've been too lazy to take the time to list everything we've done.

90 Mazda Rx7 GXL with 65,xxx miles on clean, rust-free shell
96 2jz-ge from 96 SC300
Gutted, sanded, painted interior
Relocated battery to rear
Did EGR delete and trac delete
Replaced brake pads, some lines *and calipers on all 4 corners
W58 trans, ACT clutch kit, stock machined flywheel
Bought and installed power steering pump and brackets
Got used alternator from sc400
Pre-wired body harness for ECU, prepped engine harness ran engine harness power taps
Repaired ignition wiring, starter wiring, alternator wiring.
Bought new motor mount bracket, motor mounts
Test fit motor, cut old mounts out, make new mounts and weld in, modify to fit
Welded up firewall and modified rain gutter to fit motor
Installed motor
Installed new slave cyl and line
Make and install trans mount, bought new rubber trans mount
Ran and mated engine harness
Made custom throttle cable mount
Bought and installed hydraulic e-brake (Powered by Max)
Bought and installed shifter
Bought and installed ignitor
Bought and installed correct maf
Plumbed power steering
Bought and installed radiator from Summit Racing and made custom radiator hoses
Bought used electric fan and controller and mounted
Bought drive shafts and had one custom drive shaft made by Rockford drive line
Bought and installed OBX header and mid-pipe
Replaced spark plugs
Bought and installed custom intake piping & filter
Replaced defective/incorrect (OBDI) ECU
Installed dash, made custom gauge mounts
Bought and installed Autometer tach, water temp and oil pressure gauges and senders
Bought and installed integra seats and welded in custom mounting points
Fabricated and Installed custom axle-back exhaust (not great)
Welded diff, went through rear subframe and control arms and cleaned an painted
Got headlight openers working
Bought hood and cut hole to fit motor and installed hood scoop
Installed Powered by Max coils
Installed 3rd (rear) O2 sensor and wired to ECU
Found wiring diagram and corrected several un-powered ECU circuits for OBDII
Installed used correct alternator – sc400 one did not line up correctly
Purchased used tires to fit 17” Mustang rims
Re-did custom exhaust and installed Corksport axle-back exhaust (much better)
installed Walbro 255lph fuel pump, fuel filter, dist cap and rotor (rotor was fried)
Fixed rear hatch hydraulics so no more driving around with a stick to prop it open
Replaced brake booster and master cyl. Booster was full of mud, which apparently had been causing some serious dragging of the brakes
Sport Edition 17x7.5 wheels all around, now rattle canned white (deal with it). Look like te37 knockoffs, but they're basically a house brand of kosei that tirerack sells
New windshield from autolite
New, stronger trans mount made
Grip Royal steering wheel
Takata harness

I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting a lot here, but for now that's what I got. Mind you this is all out of our little two car garage, just me and my dad, doing our first car build ever. My dad is a brilliant guy and I can't thank him enough for not only supporting this project, but for diving in head-first *and taking on some of the hardest challenges. I also have to thank my pal Rich who is a supra dude (lol) and chimed in too with his plethor of knowledge.
I have a couple short YouTube clips using my gopro, and a few pics I have at hand, I'd have to dig further to find all the old build pics
