Went to the shop after work today. We're not gonna make Friday. They messed up on part of the top so they are redoing it, at no extra cost to me of course. I'm told early next week it will be done. I'm kinda bummed about that. I was looking forward to starting to put **** back together this weekend. Oh well...
Here are some pics of the targa section and the seat rail being modified. The targa section is not done yet, the bumps in the headliner will be evened out and the flaps to cover the latches still have to be remade and reattached.
The welding still needs to be finished and then painted. The ammount of material removed from the rail was about the thickness of the tabs used to bolt the rail to the floor, ~3mm.
The rear window has also been cleaned up and tinted 20%. Didn't take pics of that though.

Top looks pretty nice, did you tell them if they nick the paint while installing anything you will take an AK-47 to the shop ? lol, I saw the paint/paper covering sections of the paint and did an internal "sssssss" (air sucking in sound) while holding my breath heh. I also want to see the LED's in the doors vs stock so I know to get them or not, looks like it makes sense, imo anything that takes strain from the electrical system in these cars is worth it, even if you have a good alt ( I have a rewound 190amp) just better I think.

Its actually not paper covering the car. Its a big sheet of some type of leathery surfaced material with a padded underside. I already have to take the car back to the body shop anyway to fix the bumper. The body shop owner wanted me to bring the car by after everything is done anyway so they can look over the car and fix anything that gets fucked up for me.
The LEDs should be delivered to me tomorrow or Saturday. I'll install them in the panels and take pics as soon as I get them.

Dude it took me a whole hour just to get to this last page. I am so jealous of you. I'm actually really pissed off that I can't afford that much work.

Yeah, they are not in the FTP lense in that picture though. I had taken them out to add a 4th to the wiring and widen the hole in the back of the FTP. I'm gonna reinstall them tonight. Will take pics.
Not at all.
