I'm heading over to the body shop in a few minutes. I'm excited to see what part of the car they are workin on today! More pics & vids later tonight.

hells yeah its nice, makes it easy to get the car off the ground to swap wheels, bleed brakes, adjust the suspension or whatever, because you only need to jack it up barely 2 inches before the tires leave the tarmac. x100

He who smokes bitches
lol.
hey even on jackstand it would look better WITH the tein flexes, they have such short droop travel that the car will still look tight.
full droop without the suspension even being set low! --->

At first looking at that picture I though "something doesn't look right..."
That's awesome though

Rear passenger side 1/4 is pretty much done. They were workin on the hood in a different paart of the shop. I was told that the shops goal is to see some paint on the car by the end of next week.
Since I seem to have a problem and cannot stop modding things I have undertaken a new LED project. Yes I know, I haven't even finished the tails(waiting on backordered parts for those).
I have a bunch of S5 aero mirrors laying around. A few of them have cracks/chips/broken off plastic bits and won't be used on my car. So I decided to do a little prototypng! The mirror in the pics is a driver side mirror with a big chunk missing from the corner(replaced with electrical tape) and 3 4-chip superflux LEDs mounted on the leading edge and 1 4-chip superflux led on the bottom of the mirror pointing down, all mounted flush or close to flush. Each 4-chip superflux led has 4 light sources in it! These suckers are bright! In the pics I am only running 9 volts through them, on the car with 12v going through them they will be brighter. The 4th LED pointing down is there because the 3 LEDs on the leading edge will not be seen by a driver in your blind spot, but they should see the ground & side of the car get lit up by the 4th LED.
What do you guys think?
I've also been thinking about having more of the LED exposed. This is what the LEDs look like:
My idea is to have everything above the red line protruding from the mirror housing.

Juice will have his done first.
I've been seriously considering parting out my car and picking up a FFR GTM to put the 3-rotor in.

Juiceh, I like the mirror LED's, but IMO would leave them flush mounted. At least the ones around the leading edge.
Can't wait to see that body after the splash! Whats the name of this body shop? Maybe I'll take a "vacation" from here and apply for a job there before they squirt just so I can put my hands on it lol
Lookin' good as usual!

Here you can see the rear bumper being prepped for molding delete. The bumper is urethane with a coating. The coating was sanded away then urethane was applied to the raw sanded urethane(the color of the urethane under the coating is the same brown color as the urethane applied over it). Once dry the urethane will be sanded to a beautiful smooth surface.
The front driver side fender is getting some finishing material added to it. Both the rear fenders have already gone through this process.
Sucks to hear that. The FFR GTM looks pretty nice, the front view of it is kinda weird though, just doesn't look good to me. Those things are fast as hell with just a stock 350hp v8. A 7-800 rwhp GT42R 20B powerplant in that thing would be insane.
Show, Street & Track. Not in that particular order either.
Yeah i think I will probably go flush mounted for all the LEDs.
M&V Auto Body. Come on down! I'll put in a good word for you with the owner!
Thats Pedro. When it comes to bodywork Vote Pedro!
You know it!

Fenders, rear 1/4s, doors all ready for primer. I dropped by the shop today and picked up my work wheels since the shop didn't need them anymore. The front bumper has been trimmed up and had some urethane slapped on it in preparation for the molding delete. I forgot to get pics of that. I was in a bit of a hurry as I had to rush back to work for an emergency.
LED components for one of my tail light sets are on there way. I've also ordered some Yellow LEDs to try in the side view mirrors. Someone told me they thought the Orange ones I had in there looked red. So we'll see how those work out. I need to start taking apart a couple of my good mirrors to prep the holes for the LEDs and get them ready for paint ASAP before the body shop needs them.
I might also toy around with something else for the LED mirrors. Recently I came up with the idea of using some of the plastic diffuser that I removed from the tail lights turn signal section as a little LED window on the mirrors. Kinda like the Ganador Super mirrors.
I'm not sure how that will turn out though. It won't quite look the same, will be a bitch to trim the diffuser and fit it to the mirror but it could turn out really nice.
Thanks Brian! I wish is wasn't such a long term project though. I want to drive my car!
Thanks! I will!

Here you can see the rear bumper with the molding deleted, it has a coat of the final prepping material on it. Once thats sanded down its ready for primer! The front bumper is trimmed up and ready for primer already. Molding fully deleted along with the "MAZDA" badge. Early next week, we start seeing paint!

OK, so the antenna has been shaved.. Now I need to figure out what to do with this RB spoiler. It got cracked during shipping to me, but its totally fixable. So my body guy is gonna repair the spoiler, but he asked me if I wanna close up the antenna hole and even out that side of the spoiler so its the same on both sides.
What do you guys think I should do? I was thinking I should leave it open in case I ever decide to sell it. But it will look kinda odd with no antenna.
I don't have a pic of it but heres a pic of a TurboII spoiler. I circled the area where the antenna goes through. The RB spoiler has the same thing.
Thoughts?
I gotta head over to the body shop later today where I will give them my final answer.

Rear bumper is ready for primer, same with passenger skirt. Driver side skirt getting the final sanding before its ready for primer. In the next day or so the car gets moved back to the paint section of the shop. Theres still a few more things to do. The trunks needs to be done along with the spoilers and the front lip.
Going to!
Nothing on this car is going to be untouched nearly everything is getting changed in some way. LoL
My Tamon Design spoiler will be getting some modifications as well. One of the things I'm considering is deleting the Tamon Design badge.
Pic: https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...&postcount=193
The badge is just a sticker, but the little spot its in is a little indentation in the spoiler for it to sit in. I'm thinking about just having that filled in. What do you guys think?
Some one mentioned to me that they thought the orange LEDs I had in the mirror looked a little red. So I went ahead and tried some yellow superflux 4-chip LEDs. With the flash the LEDs almost look the same as the orange, but without the flash theres is a noticible difference. I think these will work out better than the orange LEDs.
