VERY nice!
If you drove it in a straight line, you might get in the 9's!

Looks and sounds badass. Once you get a new intake system that doesnt choke around 6k you will deff hit 9's.

What engine mounts are those?

haha yeh im always aware of that every run im constantly correcting it down the track, it gives me the ***** , but i think that's what you get when you fit new coilovers , manual rack conversion with new rack end , rear camber link , and height adjusted without getting it wheel aligned that should be on the agenda before next season

i was half way through doing it and the boss cracked the ***** and told me to not work on the car after hours , so i took it home and im looking for another job again forth one in less than a year, hence my silence when you txt me the other week, i was a very angry beef again , sorry i could be of help and sorry i didnt answer back asap

those engine mounts are the solid mounts from the company super now in japan, they are the 10mm lower units , as they make them in standard height or ten mm lower , i also have solid gearbox mount too,

What is the benefit of 10mm lower engine mounts over stock height?

i dunno, but i needed it to get the ida manifold to clear under the bonnet, and buy chance teh company had a ten mm lower mount , and also looking at the build up pics of people who put cosmo motors in they are awfully close to hitting the bonnet as well,
But some will say its all about getting your dead weight lower in the chassis for better handling i reakon its bull crap talk to make you feal like your tough az bru

trial fitted my new intake today, looks the goods, averything fits, now its time to plumb th intake and change a few small things and re tune it on 30 psi ;

Im hoping this intake will free up some power that the ida setup was slowing down, will be interesting to see what the power curve looks like o the same tune first up

ok, small update before the season starts in a few weeks, i have now got a custom steel bellhousing made for me to fit directly onto the tII gearbox , as after a few clutch explosions in Australia last year that fragments went into the crowd and hurt spectators the governing body banned ballistic blankets, and since i had one wrapped around my factory alloy bellhousing it was time up for me to get a steel bellhousing or a steel scatter shield.

Now our rules state that scatter shields have to be 6mm steel and totally wrapping 360deg the clutch area , and also be bolted to the chassis/floor-pan area, like **** i was going to do that as the weight would be triple more than doing a custom bellhousing , even still the steel bellhousing weighs a **** load more than stock
the factory bellhousing would at a guess weight 10 pounds, the new unit weighs 22 pounds that means i gotta stop eating big macs

At least the money invested in getting this done is for safety in the end, its **** to spend $1950 US to have something not make you go faster but its gonna at least save my legs if **** hits the fan , and the good thing is that it can be adapted to suit any brand of gearbox down the track, so this is in effect the last bellhousing i need to buy

even got a cute little billet candle stick made for the clutch throw out bearing as well the dude that made this unit is a dead set legend

nice stuff beefy! ****... $1950 for a bell housing thou. We race in flip flops and ballcaps here!

They ask me about no cage and I simply say "its got airbags that work, no cage needed" per NHRA..

, yeh may ******* is still stinging from handing over all that money to not make my car go faster. The rule change was a lock and load signal to all fabricators in Australia to penetrate us without lube , but its worth it for safety sake and at least i know my money is going towards one of our greatest pioneers in rotary drag racing in australia, this guy has been around for years and still is running a mech injection combo

and yeh i know ive been talking to the missus about not spending any more money till after wedding but she keeps offering more money to build my car chicks i just dont get em sometimes

im having dramas just getting the box on, the dude who made it has made it real close the the ring gear, so now i have to grind back some of the flange just so i can get it over the ring gear , **** god damn it, i also had a old cut off input shaft as my aligner tool, i borrowed it last week so i know that's perfect
Im gonna be pushing it close to even make the first event ive entered in a weeks time .

With your unit, see if its just a adjustment problem, not sure if you know how to adjust the freeplay out of the system, its the rod up under the dash.
