87 RX-7's FC Sport Build

So I finally got time to go and take some pictures with a friend of mine with his CR-Z. Here it is!

87 RX-7's FC Sport Build-fczf.jpg

The clearcoat on the rear of the car is gone, but I am planning to re-paint it sometime this year. So far I have done:
1) Shifter bushing replacement, new shift boot and ball **** (made the throw shorter which is nice)
2) Installed a Sony deck, installed a relay to keep the power antenna working (Thank you Icemark)
3) Temporarily fixed the broken strut boots
4) I have a Grant GT steering wheel which I just need to install

The list of things I want to do this year yet:
1) Repaint in Sapphire Blue Metallic
2) Install coilovers (current OE shocks are pretty old)
3) Magnaflow muffler at the y-pipe
4) Fix power steering (air leak somewhere), and finish replacing all fluids
5) Wheels and/or tires on the OE sport wheels

I will post more pics of the interior and under the hood, I haven't had that much time recently to take pics.

Today I swapped the steering wheel for a Grant Signature Series wheel, put in a new idiot light bezel, and fitted a better radio kit. Below are a few photos of the new setup!

Thanks guys!

I installed some KYB AGX shocks with Eibach Pro springs (all 4 corners)over the weekend, along with an adjustable camber link, and I also replaced the rear sway bar links. All of this made a huge difference, handling is so much sharper. I also got new all season tires, Yokohama Avid ENVigor's. Got an alignment check today, says I have -2 degrees of camber in the rear, which was funny considereing we eyeballed it. Can't wait to take it to SCCA Solo test and tune on June 15th!

Next on my list of things to do is a transmission mount and an exhaust which I will probably do at the same time because the trans mount is hidden behind the exhaust anyways.

Yeah, I'm really surprised mine is in good shape. That said I have a lot of little things that I need to take care of, most of them electrical. I gotta try and figure out the problem with my sunroof soon.

I removed the sun roof panel from the track and was able to clean, lube the tracks. works better. Still have to help it open and close. once its pasted the first 1/4 inch it moves fine. just have to push up to start it and push down the last bit to close.
I got the Racing Beat down pipe (cat delete) and RB presilencer. Than had single pipe made and magna flow muffler. Helped alot to wake up the engine. Kinda drones a bit, might add another componet to tune the exhaust. Nice looking ride, keep it alive.

Thanks, I will keep those in mind. The sad thing is that my sunroof does not work at all and I can crank it so it isn't siezed. I need to take a closer look at the electrics. When I did open up the panel behind the dome lights (which don't work either) I saw a ground that wasn't working. I doubt the buttons are grounding properly right now, so I need to go back in and find out what the deal is. I've been considering rewiring the sunroof and dome lights. I hope its not the sunroof motor that is the problem.

Holy crap Zach, you're going on 6 years with your rx7? Feels like just yesterday we did the 6 port turbo build on it.
