I really like that Shine Auto rear bumper piece. I think it goes well with the factory S5 side skirts. I may end up doing the same thing for two reasons. First, I've always thought the rear needed something to match the side skirts and front lip. Second, I have a crinkle in my rear quarter panel that will probably never be perfect and this will cover it.

Well, I spent a lot of time and money piecing together mint black interior and my seats are trashed.... Soooo I decided to spend a lot of money on 25 year old seats.... Picked up my infini seats and non-US spec steering wheel over the weekend. Super pumped.

There are a lot of similarities between our builds. Car is coming along nice. Love those seats! If I end up hating my Brides I'm getting a pair as well.

Finallyyyyy got my car back after 3 months of it being at the body shop and having nothing but issues. Crazy to finally have a car I can be proud of that reflects all the work I have into it.

The painter had just put a couple nuts on finger tight and I hadn't got around to putting them all on yet. It's fixed now.

So my brand new paint job is bubbling up. Not really sure where I went wrong. Fate of the car is kind of up in the air at the moment. Only way I can see to fix it properly would be to strip it to bare metal and start all over, which I don't have the skill or resources to do. I'm strongly considering enjoying driving the car for a year or so and saving up to import an Infini, then swapping everything over. Hate to say goodbye to the car, but I'm not really sure what else to do at this point.

Shop was supposed to have the car 2 weeks, ended up having it 3 months, ******* me around the whole time. Had to leave the car when I moved out of state and drive back down to get it. I'm not gonna get anything from the shop unfortunately. My to mention, this car has at least a few resprays, so I'm not even sure it was the shops fault, could be old body work or paint lifting now that there's more material on it.

Maybe they used the wrong reducer or poor prep job.

I'm gonna say it was poor prep work. Either a contaminant on the surface, or they fixed a spot with some putty and didn't let it cure properly before they painted it.

They didn't wax it, did they? What kind of paint did they use? Any reputable body shop will be more than willing to fix their mistake of you are clearly concerned.

Wow this whole build is awesome. you may be discouraged from the paint but just look back at how far your 500$ dumpster bucket has come!!! If you import one, find one with those seats and sell them to me HAHA
