Judging by the brake booster, I'm guessing you have single piston front calipers.
I'm no expert in production trivia but the combination of factory sunroof and manual windows seems odd, if not rare. Maybe that's more of a S4 thing.
In a way, the aesthetics are an advantage to a street car.
You have the absolute least desirable interior color (Shutup, Aaron! I defy anyone to find a thread on the forum detailing how someone converted their black interior to red....) so as long as you're willing to rock the green tinted burgundy, replacement parts should be easy to find.
That lower fender rot is potentially troubling, I'd look at it sooner rather than later.
It's a particularly vulnerable area that *could* involve the footwell and rocker (just to heighten the suspense...your ECU is located in the passenger footwell...).

I'm with Clokker on this actually... Red interior is not super attractive. Red velour makes me think soccer mom with a Suburban, Zapp Brannigan, and people who think red velour is cool... All sorts of sexually undesirable things.
My pre-inspection guide said it was just the fender and agreed emphatically on the interior color. It was too iced up to get in there when I was looking at it, and I don't know how reliable the guy is. What I do know is that I'm pretty handy with a welder and have a huge stack of body gauge sheet stock.
My big meeting tomorrow got rescheduled at the last minute today. I have plenty of other work I really need to be doing, but I might find some time to take it out for a bit of a joy ride and a car wash. Maybe I'll clean it out first and see what state the paint and interior are REALLY in.
I do actually kind of like the sunbaked paint look. Patina can be very cool. I'm doing a roll-on paint job on my truck this summer as a trial. The paint is going to be thoroughly trashed on a regular basis, so I'm more concerned with the ability to touch it up quickly and inexpensively than any sort of special aesthetics (did I mention I like beaters?). If it turns out looking halfway decent, The Rat might get its own roll on job. I do like the color. There's a red one that is/was for sale locally (looks better, not as good mechanically), but the gray is much cooler.
As for the brakes, maybe singles. Didn't look. Discs on all four has always been an expensive aftermarket kit to me. I didn't look too closely. When it comes time to start upgrading toward performance, brakes are where I like to start. I had a friend growing up that put a SBC in a 914 without upping the brakes to match. Lasted all of three weeks before it was wrapped. Stopping is always more important than going.
As for the sunroof and manual winders, according to the Specs thread in the stickies, I've got the "Luxury" package. Power windows were only standard (or even an option) on the "GXL" option set.

Got as much done as I could today work wise, and had some time on a warm sunny day! So I took The Rat down to the self serve car wash and here's the result:
I promised that I would take some photos of the foldable cargo cover thing and its parts, but I did one better. Video always seems to be more informative than static photos.
I took some photos as well of the end result of vacuuming out cigarette ashes, dog hair, foam dust, and general dirt:
Then there are some things I pulled out that I can't quite seem to find a home for...
Where does this go? I should probably know where the fuse box is for general purposes, but I can only find the small one in the engine bay. (this is where owners manuals come in very handy)
Then there's this guy. No idea what he is, where he goes, or what he does...
Finally, this:

I didn't really get as much done as I would have liked. It would have been nice to at least have been able to figure out what needs to be ordered, but that will have to wait until I can find some more time. The Rat wasn't happy with the lack of attention I'm giving it at this crucial time, so it bit me just as I was cleaning up to come in and start making dinner... I locked the DS door, then remembered something and went to unlock it. It said no. The DS door will not unlock from the inside or the outside. Add to that the fact that the PS door barrel is also broken, and I find myself with a bit of a conundrum. I can't unlock the DS door to open it or get in or out. If I lock the PS door, I can't unlock it save from the inside. So basically, I just have to leave it unlocked and only get in from the PS until I can do something about the lock on either or both doors. Awesome. I'm sure I just need to remove the inside door handle on the DS, and unlock it that way, but that's such a PITA. Whatever, I'll figure it out. I didn't get it because it was pretty or had a lot of gizmos and doodads, I got it because it was cheap, had a solid feeling engine and tranny, and was fun to drive/technically interesting. Moving on.

You seem to have some fairly unique things going on there. For one, and thanks for the detailed video, your cargo cover speaker cover mounts are different from the standard and look to be some kinda dealer add-on. There is a specific molded speaker cover style designed to accept the rod that fits between them. That little plastic lip might be a side support for the cargo cover but looks different from stock. If somebody has "upgraded" your factory alarm you could be in a little trouble as the factory stuff is already a little complex.
Early on you said "full luxury package" I think, but that's not a GXL so it looks like you've got a few added gizmos and doodads.

When I talked to the Mazda rep online re: the VIN information, they told me it was a luxury package,. j9fd3s pulled it as well and it said "STD model". Looking through the specifications sticky, it looks like a luxury model. I don't know anything about being a "full" luxury package or not though.
Could you show me a photo of what you're talking about with the cargo cover speaker cover mounts? You're not talking about the part the cargo cover attaches to that I showed in the video right?
The only power anything I'm aware of beyond rote function is the side mirrors. If I can swap them for some non-power units, you can but I'll be on it. The seller said some loose wires in the engine compartment had something to do with the alarm. I haven't had any time at all to look into any alarm systems, but there's nothing functional left of it right now.
First priority at this point is getting the door unstuck... Then brakes. Then tune up and get the fuel system back to stock. I hate that it's taking me as long as it is, but that's life. I've got a truck to prep for paint and fab a bunch of crap too somehow...

note the "luxury package" tab, and how it matches exactly with the car in question...
i didn't know there WAS a luxury package!

Luxyoorius.
Clokker and I had a fun day today! Stripped the interior out of a 76 Plymouth Arrow to prep it for a race cage for LeMons. Finished that before lunch, then meandered over to The Rat with it's inop DS door. We probably spent more time trying to open that FREAKING door than everything else combined! I'm a pretty serious car guy, Clokker's rep probably speaks for itself, we had another legit car guy with some rotary experience, and a fourth pretty serious car guy. None of us could get that damn door open! We tried jimmying it with various things, then pulled the scraper trim, then pulled the door panel off as much as we could, nothing. The linkages and handles and everything were working perfectly. Stiff, sure. Maybe a little on the sticky side. But not in any something is obviously wrong kind of way. We ended up pulling the OTHER door apart to try to see what a working mechanism looked like (while trying not to mess up the paint on Clokker's mirror with my door), and STILL couldn't figure it out. Seriously. Four clever and experienced dudes out just taking turns mucking with the thing and getting precisely nowhere. Eventually, the guy whose house we were at grabbed a laptop and I dug around on here a bit. Not a lot of help in a direct sense, but it did ultimately shine light on what it was I needed to do. What I found pointed to a part nearby that wasn't quite what I needed, but it got my head just far enough in the good door looking at just the right angle to see the little bastard that actually needed poking. I took a photo that actually came out pretty well considering, and will make a thread for it... But wow... What a PITA!
Also on the way home, I decided The Rat probably doesn't need to be driven too much until I get the brakes tended to... The DSF caliper is seized open, and the rest of the rotors are in rough shape. Also, I think I might be hearing the input shaft bearing start to whisper to me while at a stop with the clutch out. I'm thinking gear oil is an immediate job as well. Hopefully that's it!

interesting. It has the super base bins, and a couple other oddities my 87 super base had, and also has the classic S4 cursed drivers side rear quarter damage. All S4 FC have some kind of dents dings etc on that panel. I am almost convinced it is factory.
glad to see another person doing video besides me.
