The car will come home this week. There a few things I want to do to it over the winter and I think it will be good to put a few miles on the car before then. This week is going to be rain central but I'll figure out a day to go and get it. More pictures to follow!

Got the car out of storage yesterday and drive it back home. It drove very well despite sitting for the last year. The tires have some flat spotting which I expected but overall, the drive went very well. I'll spend some time cleaning the car as its pretty dirty and go from there. Took one picture on my way home and will be adding more as I get the car cleaned up.

We had a beautiful November day here in Ohio and I decided to drive the car to work today! It was a huge hit and everyone loved it! The weather was perfect on the way home. I stopped and got some gas and enjoyed the drive back home. The car is parked safely in the garage waiting for the next drive! Took a few pictures on the way home and one at home before I put the car away!

this is good stuff! a 10AE doing what it was meant to do - providing pleasure for someone who knows how to respect and take care of it. i actually remember seeing one in the showroom back in '88 and i'm sure if i dug around in my boxes of magazines and such, i could probably find the brochure i got that day.
thanks for sharing these snippets of fun times with your car (and family).

I really do enjoy the car very much! The car is loved by all of the kids and they all fight about who gets to ride in it first. Its kind of funny. Its honestly a pleasure to own, maintain, and drive. It needs a few things but given the age and originality, its more than perfect for me!
Wish I could have gone to see these cars when new. I was 7 when they came out in 1988 and there were no Mazda dealerships close by. I only remember seeing SA's and FB's on the road when I was a kid. Seeing an FC was a rare sight until the late 90's when a few popped up here and there in town.

that looks great! when i get a new FC (usually in boxes) step one is just to strip down the engine bay, and usually the engine and just clean everything....

Uncovered the car yesterday and my son and I bled the brakes because they never felt quite right after the new master cylinder. Had a small air pocket in the right rear caliper and in the left front and now the brake pedal is back to normal. We spent the day cruising around in the car and it ran so well in the cool air. I really should have put more miles on the car this year and now in three weeks, the car goes back in storage. I plan on driving the car quite a bit over the next few weeks and enjoying it before the weather turns. Wanted to share a few pictures from yesterday:

Had the car out yesterday after work and took my oldest son with me. We went for a fun cruise on some back roads and snapped a couple of pictures. I have so much to do to the car, yet it runs and drives so well. Just a testament to how well these cars were built and with the proper maintenance and care, will run for a long time.
