Ultima Pacific Avatar conversion is alive.
Hi, I thought it was time to start to post some pics about the ultima car that I am restoring. An original pacific avatar car, it was done by MAriah motor sports and had a lot of extras. Zack in northern cal has an oriinal car (56K NO WAY) but this PA has 7k ish total original miles. Still, after reading about Zack's enthusiasm I have to dedicate this retoration to Zack's family's health and happiness, Cheers, cliff

Here is the original post by Mariah motor sports, who customized the car.
http://www.mariahmotorsports.com/project_ultima.htm
I contacted Jim Kennedy by phone and he was excited about a 13b s5 turbo upgrade.
Zack was hoping we could keep it an original 12aT as it was designed. I contacted a bunch of the 20b forum guys and they were cautious.
In the mean time, I am getting a stock 12a smogged by Nick at Rotary engineering, here in SoCal and after california registration, will pursue these options on these boards.
Thanks to the guys who have been helping, the s5 tII conversion guys and 20b guys who have posted, they know who they are.

alrighty, I'm not trying to offend you, but....have you ever linked a picture before? perhaps you should upload your pictures to a picture storage site, like photobucket.com, they even give you the html tags you need, you can't link directly from your computer, and you can't link directly from E-mail accounts.

will do for now thanks, cliff
I am minimally computer literate, no offense taken, as I never seemed to find the time after 20 years in school and keeping busy, as well as coming from a quiet area in Canada.

Keep those wheels, they look really good. If anything, get the lips polished and the centers re-done in metallic gold powdercoat if they're that bad.
Suspension wise, get some coilovers and performance shocks, and lower it some... Hell, while your at it, make the car 100X better and get a ReSpeed Rack & pinion kit.

Wow, I appreciate the help Jeezus. I have flunked CompuPics101. Thanks.
Well Steve, This is the car you have been helping me go s5 Turbo with. Thanks. I need the car smog legal to keep it alive or who knows where it will end up.
Mr Asianimage...You have excellent taste. The first gen is so clean I have a tough time with the wide fenders. But They have a purpose...BIG *** tires and wheels. I will solicit your opinion about keeping the antigue rims or going to nicer ones?
Also, I respect Jim Haggerty's efforts at Mariah for doing the car. Nice guy.
Also Zach, Boostedrex's PA has the stock fenders. It has the clean look. I am a convertible freak and also love the fb, so this car was a natural.
I will include the specifics of the ULTIMA car, later, as it was a unique build by Mazda North America to showcase the PA car (convertible FB) with sponsorship by recarro for the seats, connolly leather for custom seats, dash etc, Alpine for 12 ? speaker amplified sound system( still intact), and an alarm company for a high tech 1983 electronics setup, the mariah widebody kit and 14 coats of polished ferrari red paint. Also a 12aT motor which flunked smog so bad it hasn't been registered in 7 years (check out the reg stickers on the plate)
